Hello, I am a long time lurker / forum dweller here having an issue changing my email.

 

I am trying to switch everything off of gmail and onto more secure email services and upon trying to change to @protonmail.com the website states I am not allowed to use this as an email address. Curious as to why this is?

Bump

We block disposable email domains as they tend to be used for spam and abuse.

We will look into whether this particular block is still relevant in the near future, as I know the legitimate use of Protonmail exceeds the illegitimate.

They have made a lot of changes to ban abusers/spammers of the service here recently as opposed to before, but I can understand the issue as a staff member. I hope you can reconsider. Thanks for the reply.

Edit: If anyone is wanting to do the same as me, just use your @pm.me address on protonmail, it works fine as a work around.
