Add-on Vehicle Texture/Livery Problem

Featured Replies

Hello. I recently added some LSPD K9 vehicles to the game. Getting them into the game and spawned from the police garage was not really an issue, but for some reason when I spawn them they have a green pearlescent color too them. Also, the K9 Tahoe has blue wheels even though they are supposed to be black. I've already tried doing some searching to see if anyone else has had this issue, but couldn't find anything unfortunately. If anyone knows what is going on and can help me out, I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

To update, I did a little bit of messing around with files to see if I could fix this. I made a backup of the DLC pack NVR_Emissive (from the NaturalVision Remastered mod) before deleting it. When I deleted that folder and went in-game, it changed the wheel to yellow instead of blue.  So, I am thinking that this may be a conflict between the vehicles and that mod I am using, though I still can't figure out how to fix it.

I just ran into this too. Do you have the vehicles in the original police1,2,3/sheriff1,2 slots or did you add/create slots for police5+/Sheriff3+? I added them to the game by naming them with police5 and sheriff3 and ran into the same problem but just the green color. I'm gonna mess around with it and see if that's the issue but if you did the same, that may have been the problem.

I added their own slots and named them: "lspdk91" for the charger and "lspdk92" for the tahoe. In the end, I ended up just dropping the mods and removing them from the game because I couldn't figure it out.

Though, after some further modding I came across the same exact problem again (though without the weird color on the rims) with the tahoe from the "Special Weapons And Tactics [SWAT] Pack". This time, I decided to do a bit more digging around and I was able to fix the issue by pretty much creating an entire dlc pack for these vehicles like other vehicles packs do. I pretty much just copied the files from another dlc pack, filled in the new vehicle model name (in meta files and content.xml/setup.xml files), and then copied over the metas for the vehicles that the SWAT Pack provides. When I tested the tahoe in-game after doing all of this the vehicle no longer had any green color.

If you want me to go into more details on how I created the dlc pack for you to try yourself, ask and I'll help you out to the best of my knowledge.
