Hi everyone, I have a problem with LML to replace the vehicles.meta file in x64w.rpf/dlcpacks/mpbusiness (I would like to replace the entry for alpha). I don't know how to specify the correct gampath which is x64w.rpf/dlcpacks/mpbusiness/dlc.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta. I tried with the following:

        <FileReplacement>
            <GamePath>x64w:/dlc_mpbusiness/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta</GamePath>
            <FilePath>myreplace/vehicles.meta</FilePath>
        </FileReplacement>

or:

            <FileReplacement>
                <GamePath>x64w:/dlcpacks/mpbusiness/dlc:/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta</GamePath>
                <FilePath>replace/vehicles.meta</FilePath>
            </FileReplacement>

but both of them don't work.

The solution posted in your examples:

        <FileReplacement>
            <GamePath>dlc_nameofdlcpatch/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta</GamePath>
            <FilePath>replace/vehicles.meta</FilePath>
        </FileReplacement>       

only works for the dlcpatch located in update/update.rpf.

How can I solve this replacement?

Replacing a single entry is an advanced feature, as it requires some tricks to work behind the scenes. That being said, it is still incredibly easy to use. From what I understand your new vehicles.meta only has one entry which is for "alpha", correct? If that is the case, you can load that vehicles.meta like this:

 

<FileEntryReplacement type="VEHICLE_METADATA_FILE">replace/vehicles.meta</FileEntryReplacement>

I experienced that the single entry replacement only works for the main vehicles of the game, for example for dubsta3 or alpha in my case it does not changes the vehicles.meta correctly, so the unique possibility would be to replace the whole file .meta in the custom location. Can you help me to specify the file path correctly in LML?

@LMSI tried both single entry replacement and the entire vehicles.meta with the path you wrote for alpha but still no luck, nothing happens. The entry is not edited.

Any ideas to solve? I really need to modify the vehicles.meta to use liveries for alpha and set specif extras to spawn.

@LMS No, it also happens with stalion and dubsta3. I observed that the single entry replacement doesn't work with the vehicles that Rockstar added in the updates but I don't know why and how to resolve this problem.

I am not sure, single entry replacement loads the file first to make sure others cannot overwrite it but perhaps this is exactly what DLC entries do - why I am not sure, though.

@LMS Have you tried the single entry replacement for DLC vehicles, for example the ones added in The Cayo Perico update? For me it only works with the base vehicles.

For example, if i apply the single entry replacement to stalion, dubsta3 or alpha the games crashes during the loading.
