Hi,

I have played the mod since the beginning and I liked this a lot.
I know that every new update brings a lot of new features, but I feel like every new update also introduces a lot of regressions and disables older features.

 

Please take these as a feedback as I like a lot your mod and I truly believe feedback can only improve it.
1. I believe old versions, at least 0.3 had installer, but not the newest 0.4.8 version. I have searched the website but I was able to download only manual installation. The website is also hard to navigate because there are so many subitems in the menu.
2. As some one who returns every then and now to play newer updates, I feel like there is no version history. You are presented with latest update, and thats it. I want to see what features were introduced in previous updates but I cannot find any history news or history updates.
3. The last time I played was a year ago and I felt like many things had a regression compared to version 0.2 for example. I do hope that newest version functions a lot better but I am afraid to manually install it

The current version was more or less rushed for release because of the recent GTA update.  Manual install is not difficult, just drag and drop the files into your GTA directory.  I'm sure an installer will accompany the next proper release.

If you want to see patch notes for older version, look in the LSPDFR News & Updates sub-forum.

You have not provided any notable examples of regression.

As for the automatic installer missing, this was due to me being stuck in Africa during the Cayo Perico update and a quick fix release by the rest of the team just to make things work. The latest LSPDFR update from today has an automatic installer again.

Thanks for both of you, I was able to install and run the mod.
I have noticed some stutters with FPS when calling backup but overall the mod runs much better than a year ago, well done - I enjoyed playing it a lot yesterday, and now the criminals randomize their path instead of just circling the whole island map xD

 

There is more to learn for me as the major "issue" I had is not knowing or remembering how to arrest so I have always just waited for other cops to arrive till I hold the suspect.

 

Also the mod crashed only once after 2 hours of gameplay - a major improvement in stability compared to older version. The cause of the crash was that I was trying to sync my character with my online profile and on the second time I clicked it (alt tab, sync, back to game, sync again) - it crashed. Is it a known issue or should I report it somewhere?

 

BTW - is the RDR mod as well developed enough to try it out or should I wait with installation of police mod for RDR?

Happy to hear you are enjoying it! If you could find the crash log from your last session and attach it here, that would be great. Then we can figure out what caused the issue.

 

As for RDR, it is very much in its infancy, but should hopefully provide you with a fun experience already!
