i was having a memory leak and had this problem after a bit too. i had to un do every mod and reinstal the game. but maybe you dont have too. i dont think this is something i can help with. sorry.

yeah... I've had the same issue. I re-installed like 8-10 times and it was still occour ing and then I decided to get ccleaner and a couple anti-virus programs to scan for possible issues.. if you check in your local disk drive is there a windows.old? I do and it held a original copy of gta iv which saved me
