LSPDFR Optimal Setup

Featured Replies

Hi all

I would like to share with you this guide I made the last time I installed GTA 5 + LSPDFR. I reproduced all the steps by myself and everything worked correctly at first try.

I will not put any link because mods change costantly. Last update was a few days ago at the moment I am writing this post.

If you want to try and it's not working for you, please reply with your computer specs, a detailed RagePluginHook log and what you have installed so far. The guide has been tested with the mods you can find below. If you use Redux instead of VisualV and the game crash, please don't ask for help; the guide is not intended for other mods.

Some "how-to" are not included (for example how to install cars) because you should already know how to do it and because I want to mantain the guide as simple as possible. There are also plenty of videos and tutorials on how you can achieve these steps.

Please don't ask to include mod X or Y if you didn't have tested the whole guide by yourself first; it's not guaranteed to work. I also don't have any partnership with anyone.

Spoiler

1. Clean GTA 5 Install
2. Install OpenIV
3. Install ASI Loader - OpenIV ASI - Create mods folder
4. Install ScriptHook V - dinput8.dll
5. Install and configure LSPDFR
6. If playing with a controller, open "key.ini" inside lspdfr folder and edit TRAFFICSTOP_INTERACT_ControllerKey=None (put "None" insted of "E")
7. Launch the game through RAGEPluginHook.exe to see if all works for now. If it's stuck on "Launching Game" message, be sure to have installed Rockastar Launcher
8. In game, check that LSPDFR works correctly, do some callout in city area and outside. The game must not crash. (not crash for me)

9. Install VisualV (oiv installation)
10. Install "Removed grass dithering + trees reflections" package
11. Install ReShade for VisualV (optional)
12. Check again that the game is working correctly like in step 7 (not crash for me)

13. Install "ELS"
14. Install "Realistic Radiance" + "taxi, metro train, bus brightness fix"
15. Install "Wheel Variety Pack"
16. Install Police Cars (see other tutorials for this - install the .ytd and .ytf files in last patchday)
17. Check again that the game is working correctly like in step 7 (not crash for me)

18. Install (one by one) Callouts. Is reccomended to install one and try to check if game crash. It's difficult to find why the game crash with 7-8 callout mods installed.
19. Reccomended mods and Callouts:
    - Open all interiors
    - bejoijo mods (compulite, stop the ped, etc)
    - Force a callout
    - No more Yelling
    - United Callouts
    - Regular Callouts
    - Typical Callouts
    - WoutersCallouts
    - GTAV.HeapAdjuster (if you experience texture glitches)
    - AutomaticSirenCutout

20. I have zero game crash by today. It only happened two times at startup but I think it was because I closed the game unproperly.

Tips and tricks
    - edit "car.defaultlight" in visualsettings.dat to change light emmission of ELS

Thanks
