Do you happen to have StopThePed installed?

yes i do

This is caused by the STP (StopThePed) Realistic Weapon System that only allows you to have certain weapons.

 

1. Open the STP menu (The default keybind is "G")

2. Click "Disable Realistic Weapons System"

 

If you only wish to disable this permanently you can do so in the STP ini file on this line:

 

Set "EnabledOnStartup" to "no" // Set whether you want to turn the realistic weapon system on startup (yes/no)

EnabledOnStartup=no

hey you have been such a great help. I just have 1 more question, i have watched as few vids on it and I'm still confused but how do you install vehicle mods to the game and replace the vanilla police cars. on the latest update. its ok if you don't know. 

and if you can help me what vehicle mods should i add ?

Replace Vehicles:

 

1. Rename your vehicle files to the slot you'd like to replace

2. Drag and drop yft + ytd (some have hi infront of them - they are still ytf/ytd files) files into this path: GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday24/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

where are my vehicle files ? 

What do you mean?

you said rename your vehicle files, where are they and how do i do that 

You have to rename the downloaded vehicle files to the slot you want to replace such as:

police

police2

police3

police4

sheriff

sheriff2

the pack i have install already has those names so i have just put them in is that right ?

 

its the featured los santos county one
