I'm trying to get plate lights (ions) to also act as brake lights, when I hit the brakes they light up... but the emissive is still there when I'm not hitting the brakes... is there any way to get it to go away entirely when its not supposed to be on?

Yes, they are ions on a explorer trunk, so i set it to 11... the middle brake light

I have the same issue. It's like when the brakes are on it is an emissive, but when the brake lights are not active the texture is there but it's not lighting up like an emissive. Just makes the ions look red

My exact problem, nobody knows though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think what you may need to do is set 2 emissives 1 being a brake light and one being the light itself and just put the break light ahead of the light. Hope this helps
