I moved on after, by referencing if his game performs well without RAGE as I was happy this was not causing any issues to his game. Considering he added it in while this thread has been happening, there isn't an issue with seeing if a difference can be seen in absence of Traffic Policer.

 

Now addressing how it performs well without RAGE - as there isn't a crash in your latest log it is being caused by your game rather than LSPDFR. I don't believe this is a mod folder issue as they usually prevent the game from starting up but it could be as simple as having your graphic settings too high to run with scripts and plugins. I would suggest lowering them

Computer Specs:

RTX 3090, i9-9900k, 64GB Ram, so not a hardware/graphic error in this case.

 

I have tried with and without the mods folder and had no crashes when running without RPH so I know it must be related to something with that.

 

I will get you a new log without it but I don't believe traffic policer is an issue.

Yeh that definitely rules that out. Do you have any scripts running or conflicting plugins?

Nothing that I know of, here are my folders

 

Also as I know people will point out I am running NVE though I have also tested it with and without it same crash regardless.

The problem I have is I constantly see certain people telling anyone who asks for help to remove outdated, yet functional plugins even when they aren't related to the problem at hand.  It's bad support.

 

Your initial reason for him removing Traffic Policer was because it's old, not because you think it could be causing the problem.  When you realized it wasn't related to the problem, you did not tell him it was safe to put the plugin back.

 

Old, functional plugins are still functional.  Just because some people have a problem doesn't mean the plugin is universally broken.  Please stop blindly asking people to remove old, functional plugins.

Just to confirm, if you change your "Plugins" folder to "Plugins_", it still crashes 10-15 minutes into the game?

1, Old outdated plugins don't just cause crashes but they have the possibility of making the game unstable. Therefore even if the crash isn't directly caused by it it may have an impact which is why I suggested removing it to see if it affected it in any way.

2, Apologies if it was unclear that I thought it was safe to reinstall Traffic Policer. When he said he put it back in I replied with okay which could have been clearer by saying It should be okay keep it there then....

3, Slightly confused, could a 0.3b plugin be suitable for 0.4.8? Like I said earlier old plugins can also just make the game unstable rather than causing a crash. So my intention was to see if it made a difference - no harm in that - and if it didn't then of course put it back - which is what I said just not so clearly as I thought.

 

If you do have any more issues with my support please refrain from posting them here but rather message me. It is against the guidelines to post in these forums without offering support to that person's issue.

No crash while doing that.

 

When I made the folder back to plugins it crashed a few min into the game. Even tried going off duty and still crashed.

You can re-enable your plugins folder, then change your Rage settings to not load any plugins on startup.  When you do this, you can manually load plugins from the console one at a time once you're in game.  My guess is the crash will happen when you load LSPDFR.

Tried that, it allows LSPDFR to start though once I get on duty and start playing it will crash randomly 5-10min in.

Just following up, it won't crash unless LSPDFR has been loaded by RAGE. Was able to go around for about an hour without LSPDFR loaded (but RAGE loaded), but after loading LSPDFR and going on duty crashed after 3 min.

Per your directory, it looks like your "dinput8.dll" is out of date. Replace that and see if that helps.

Yep all latest versions.

 

Edit: In terms of the dinput8 this is a clean copy of GTA installed this morning so it was installed with it. Will go ahead and update it to latest though.

Update: Seems like I found a fix!

 

Went ahead and changed Main.PreloadAllModels to false and I am not longer crashing.

How interesting! Unsure on how this could cause it to crash but glad it works!
