Game crashing when graphics mod + vehicle/eup mods used together

Featured Replies

I have been having a problem where my game crashes randomly. I can be on a call, no on a call, it doesn't matter. I have attached a RagePluginLog. For this crash it happened after a call. I had completed a call, marked myself off duty so I could make the CompuLite arrest and bring them to jail. While still marked as not available for calls and just driving to the nearest jail the game just crashed. The crashes don't seem to be triggered by anything specific I do and I can't seem to figure out what is causing the issue based on the logs.

Most of my LCPDFR plugins have been there without issues and I feel it may be related to OpenIV based content such as GTA5REDUX that I installed which may be causing the problems. But I am curious if anyone sees any other problems before I go through the process of deleting my mods folder and re-adding other things like vehicles and EUP back.

Update: I renamed my mods folder so that it doesn't get used and I no longer seem to be having crashes. Unsure now if it is GTA 5 REDUX or one of the mods I added to add vehicles and skins. I guess I will start with a clean mods folder and try adding GTA 5 REDUX and see if the crashes come back. If so then I guess the other vehicle mods are fine.

What are your frames like while everything is loaded? Can you list the plugins/scripts your using? Any other mods used?

So if I disable the mods there are no crashes that happen. So plugin wise those should be fine. When I tested with GTA5REDUX, and EUP no issues. But then when I tested with adding in a few vehicles + skins with them that is when the problems start. I also start to notice a lot of texture loading issues like roads going invisible or being loaded blurry. And then eventually after I do a callout or two the game crashes.

I was using these three mod skins + their associated vehicle mod packs:

 and

and the EUP uniforms:

I believe the problem is now fixed. I reinstalled all of those mods listed above  but did it without GTA5REDUX and I have no crashes so far. I also tried the reverse and installed GTA5REDUX without any of the mods and also had no problems. Once I have both the graphics mods and the vehicle/uniform mods that is when I start to see texture issues and when I start having crashes. So the problem does not seem to be one of the mods, but when I have all of them together.

I am fine not using the graphics mod if it means my other mods work fine. Maybe I should consider trying out a different graphics mod. Is there another mod that makes the ELS lights look nice and is updated for latest GTA that anyone knows of?

Glad you found the source, make sure Main.PreloadAllModels is set to False in your gta v folder-lspdfr-lspdfr.ini

I suggest and personally use Radiance V / Visual V (For graphic enhancement, note you need a separate file to use both those mods)

Or if your looking into specially better ELS lighting i suggest trying "Better and Brighter Emergency Lights" Linked below (sometimes you may have to fix your taxi signs as they can become very bright but a quick "taxi light too bright" google will aid you with that. Good luck! Safe Patrols

@hfd350 Great, thanks for the information! I am going to go with the better and brighter emergency lights mod and it seems to be working well. I don't think I care for the other graphics mods for the time being. I applied the taxi fix as well just in case!
