Major Performance Issues

I get major stutters an the game looks bad no matter how high I turn up the graphics, I use Visual V, I had both Issues before I installed it, The stutters have gotten worse making the game unplayable. Gpu Usage will drop to 0% and usually doesn't go above 70% here are the mods I use: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15CUQL26XmF3lsi8Byn7y_5fB7gTNzPtvgI2pXLL_oo8/edit?usp=sharing     I use every thing except whats under previously used. Here is video of the stutters and bad graphics: https://youtu.be/GgsR6TLMo0g

I also use the radeon software to limit the game to 30 fps

Wow those are pretty frequent stutters. Your computer specs look fine and should handle GTA no problem - other than your RAM which is borderline. I usually hit 7.2 GB RAM usage - nonetheless, you should still be able to play without stutters or major issues like this.

Here are a few questions:

1. Have you tried turning off the Reflection MSAA in your GTA graphics settings?

2. Have you tried reducing Distance Scaling, Reflection Quality, Shadow Quality in your GTA graphics settings?

3. Have you tried turning off the Radeon FPS cap?

4. Are you using the latest Readeon driver?

5. Is your CPU maxing out (100%)?

That would be my first line of attach there. Hopefully, something works there!

I updated the radeon drivers, no changes, turning down those settings it helped but I still get stutters especially when hitting things while driving, the last time I played a few weeks ago I was able to play with the settings the way I had them with very few stutters. Without the fps cap the stutters are way worse, and the highest my cpu gets is around 50% usually hovering around 25%

Stutters in GTA V usually might be caused by:

  • Windows tries to write the Page File. Make sure to put the page file on the fastest Disk. Then set the page file size manually: Min: 4GB Max: 12GB
  • Your GPU or CPU throttle down the clock because of overheating. If that's the case, make sure not to overclock your GPU or CPU and have them to have an adequate cooling.
  • One of the CPU core reaches 100% usage. It is not the average CPU usage, but individual core usage. Make sure to have GTA5.EXE process afinity to use all cores.
  • Not enough windows process priority. Always set GTA5.EXE process priority set to "High Priority".

Darn..

Do you have any other apps open while playing GTA? Looks like a major problem in the community is having a browser open while playing - especially on lower RAM systems.

Only OBS and Voicemeeter Banana, which didn't cause any problems before. I did get it fixed by setting GTA5.exe process priority to high which I thought I already did, Thanks for the help.
