(Question) What mods do you play with?

Featured Replies

Hey again!

Started playing around with LSPDFR again in SP, and threw a few mods in for fun, they're all very feature rich, but after watching videos of youtubers playing it, I think the mods I'm using are missing some features or I've messed something up...

(For example, when doing breathalyzers and such, or interacting with a ped up close, I don't get the 'ped smells of marijuana' or the breathalyzer results!)

Anyways, back to my original question before I went off topic with my issues:

What mods do all of you guys play with? It can be a modpack or a handful of singles, anything! Lets find out whats popular and what outliers are there that are perhaps understated! 🙂

Looking forward to finding what everyone uses!

For what you just said regarding odour, you need Stop the Ped.

Really the only essential mods you need are:

Stop the Ped

Compulite

Ultimate Backup

+1 or 2 decent & recently updated callout packs.

Anything else is just icing & a balance between your FPS and variety.

Other notable mentions that I use are mostly immersion-based

Grammar Police

Immersive Dispatch

LSPDFR Comes Alive

Super Events

Enhanced Vehicle Actions

Siren mastery

Glove Switcher

I don't have many callout packs, here's the ones I currently use

Super Callouts

United Callouts

Simple Callouts

The reason being they're the only 3 that seem to be regularly (and recently) updated at the moment that don't cause FPS issues or crash.

I think I've got too many, lol. And a lot of them overlap, which I think miiiight be causing the issue of me not getting the 'odor' pop-ups.

I HAVE Stop the Ped, but whenever I do a breathalyzer test, it doesn't give me the results anywhere, it's weird. I had the same problem with vanilla LSPDFR when doing frisks, just didn't tell me what anyone had on 'em!

I'm gonna give your list a try, here's mine, for reference and because why not:

Computer+

CopHolster

Interaction+

KTDFO

SmartRadio

StopthePed

TrafficPolicer(I actually like this one, it has the mimic me feature, so you can make peds pull off the road further.)

and UltimateBackup.

I was looking at ImmersiveDispatch/Vocal Dispatch, then realized I don't know ANYTHING about how police radio works, though I would really like to learn, so if there's any resources...!

You've got a nice and simple list though, I'll see about trying them out, I wanna try a fresh modlist, anyways.

Interaction+, smartradio, traffic policer, computer+ are all outdated unfortunately.

You don't need traffic policer anymore with stop the ped & ultimate backup, they both perform the same functions, and with traffic policer being badly coded and outdated it can cause issues. Bejo's plugins are a lot less resource intensive and better coded

KTFO is outdated, use EVA instead (enhanced vehicle actions)

Interaction+ will be conflicting, stop the ped already has those functions and use alongside Compulite: https://www.bejoijo.com

To have peds pullover the way you want use Custom Pullover instead of traffic policer

But yeah it sounds like you could do with wiping your plugins folder all together and starting clean 🙂

Vocal Dispatch is outdated too, use Grammar Police instead (same, but better function). immersive dispatch just adds extra immersion on top of it.

Here's a vid of me using it (and my mod list)

Hm, I'm still not getting those test results, like the notification on the thumbnail of your video there, in the bottom left? The alcohol test, those don't show up for me, or ID requests, etc... Really strange!

Hi SailorJerrys: Did you have any luck getting things sorted at all?

Do you get any notifications above the map at all or are they all missing?

I know it won't help you now, but I usually keep an unmodded backup of the whole GTA install so when I mess up (which I do a lot) I can roll back to the backup - (delete the modded folder and start again) I usually start with getting LSPDFR working first, then install a couple of plugins, then test, create a backup, then a couple more, etc.

Anyway, I am always interested to see what mods others are playing with (Didn't know about Glove Switcher, so thanks @mctosh 🙂 ) and thought I woud share what I have (I have too  many so I may not be the best example and I find vehicle packs and skins push my install over the edge so I play with the default emergency vehicles (but an ELS version).

Important plugins I have:

Emergency Lights and Sirens (ELS)

Emergency Uniform Packs (EUP)

All the stuff by Bejojio:

              - Stop the Ped

              - Ultimate Backup

              - ALPR Lite

              - Speed Radar Lite

Grammer Police (Talk to Dispatch which I love as then I can do things like ask for backup while running away (coward) or provide updates, like on scene, clear, etc.)

Immersive Dispatch (with Grammar Police)

Player Location Display

Custom Pullover (Although Real Police Plugin does the same and adds parking tickets)

Others I like and use:

Automatic Siren Cutout (Kills the siren if you fail to turn it off when you get out of vehicle)

Clear the way V (Although I am not sure how much of a difference this makes anymore)

Dashcam V (For some cool dashcam views of the action)

Enhanced Vehicle Actions 2 ( keep doors open, Indicators, hazard lights, vehicle locks, etc)

LeFix Simple Fuel (have to keep your gas tank fueled)

Police Repair Shops (Have to go to a garage to get your car fixed)

Spotlight

Callout Manager

Force a callout

Juristictions + (Map 3)

Keep Calm (Stops bystanders panicing Although I think Stop The Ped can do this too)

Megaphone UI (Shout at people)

Rich's Police Enhancements (Adds some quality of life featres)

What's your name again?

No more yelling (civilians no longer tell you to move when stuck behind you in traffic)

Callout packs (I love veriety, but try to avoid packs that need keybindings due to lack of keys):

Assorted callouts

Attempted Crime Callouts

Basic Callouts

Conchs Callouts

Misc Callouts

On the beat callouts

More robberies

Red callouts

Simple callouts

Super callouts

Variety callouts

United callouts

I want to try the following callout packs:

Coastal callouts (but plan a complete seperate install for its gameplay)

Beach callouts

Bizzare callouts

CalloutsT

JaRm callouts

Inspired callouts

Prioriy callouts (WIP)

Rediculus callouts

Some visual/audio tweaks:

COPS theme on loading screen

Increased Environmental Lighting

EMS Medical props (for the stretcher for Ultimate Backup)

Realistic Street and Location Atlas Map (to give sttreet names on the map)

True Coroners

Better Dispatch Audio

STP Drug tester and STP Brethalyzer

Realistic pickups (removes glow and have to press E to pick up gun)

What am I missing?

A really good speed limiter mod, so I can stick to the speed limit

I don't have vehicle mods as all of the above is already too much (probably), but I always look in envy at the cars from TickleMyElmo and the vehicle skins from EchoWolf

If you want to add vehciles, you need to also look at a good gameconfig replacement, Heap Limit Adjuster and PackFIle Limit Adjuster

Hey Waynieoaks,

I didn't have any luck yet, but I've also been distracted by other things the last few days, lol. The only notifications I get are from a few mods upon going On Duty, and maybe a few rare ones. But I never get any results from Stop the Ped or most other mods, in short: No notifications that are actually important for doing the duties.

I may reinstall GTA again, just didn't want to have to, LOL. Can maybe see if I can uninstall LSPDFR and reinstall it, get rid of all the 'added' folders by retracing my steps, see if that helps instead.

It may be worth checking the Rage Plugin Hook log to see if you get any errors (especially with particular plugins) then that may help find the problem.

If you are lucky, you may get away with emptying the LSPDFR / Mods / Plugins folders and then resinstall rage plugin hook / LSPDFR and see how you get on.

If that fails, you might need to reinstall GTA, as painful as it is, that is the only way to be sure you got rid of the problem.

Then, if you have the disk space, keep backups as you go to save the hours of reinstalling (I learned that the hard way). :-)

I literally just cleaned up space to make sure I can get a backup of the important files. Cause I think I can leave out the main data files (like the update packs x64.rpf files, etc).
