I recently installed a new car pack (New York State Police Maga Pack) and I can't get ELS to work. Just so you are aware, I'm pretty sure it's because I don't know how to properly install it. There's nothing wrong with the application itself, from what I can see. What I do is I take the same files I pasted into my Vehicles.rpf file and I drop those inside GTAV-ELS-PACK DEFAULT. The directions say to place the VCF inside pack default, however I'm not completely sure what a VCF is. So I assumed it was the same thing I pasted inside Vehicles.rpf. I'd assume this would be a quick fix, please help me. :)) Thank you!

HI! So firstly be sure that you have installed properly Script Hook V. (there are tons of tutorial videos about that). Secondly DO NOT copy any VCF. files into the MODS folder (the place where you have all car files etc.). All you have to do is copy all the VCF. into the Pack Deflaut trial should be: GTAV > ELS > Pack Deflaut. If you changed name of any car name remember that you have to changed that name in every file from that car, so VCF. file too. If all that won't work just check if you installed ELS properly. (all ELS files should be in the maing GTA V folder not in "plugins' as lots people do. Also write me if the car taht you are using don't have any lights on or some of them are lightning all time.

No. You've got for each car (ex. police) 4 files: police.yft, police_hi.yft, police.ytd and police.xml (those names after dots are types of file). Pay attention that there are two yft files. One is [slot name].yft and one is [slot name]_hi.yft (slot name is for ex. police, police2 etc.). When you get a car you put two yft files and ytd file into correct folder using programme OPEN IV. Alright, it sucks to say, but I deleted all the extra files except the XML files and it's still not working.

 😞 I think I have the VCFs in the right place, but not even the ELS panel shows up when I press CTRL + P so I think it may be something else.

Ok, so I' ve downloaded only part 1 but same as in part 1 you will have to do witho other parts. 

So after downloading you get .rar file you don't have to extract it just place it in deskop for easier work. First install yhe vehicles meta. To do that you will need OPEN IV (if you don't have it just download it from this site https://openiv.com/ .  Firstly when you open this programme you have to click tools, than asi manager and install all components. Then you have to go to mods folder (if you don't have this just create folder named "mods" in GTA V main folder and copy to it 2 files: 'update" and "x64", it can take some time but it will create something like special zone for mods, so if something goes wrong just delete mods folder and the game will work.)

If you are done with you need to go to folder using OPEN IV just go this path: mods > update > update.rpf > common > data > levels > gta5 and search for "vehicles.meta". Click "edit mode" in the upper part and simply drage the vehicles.meta from your pack to OPEN IV. (only file not folder). After that you have just installe meta. Next step is create two folders on deskop. Name first "Models" and second "VCF". Than go into folder with car that you want to have (I can see that some are using same slots so you can't have for example all CVPI). Then you are putting all .yft and .ytd files into "Models" folder (2 .yft files and 1 or 2 .ytd [some cars have two ytd some have only one]). Than you put .xml file into "VCF" folder. Do it in every car you want. In parts 2 and 3 you' ve got vehicles meta too, but it's same file for all cars, so you don't have to install it second time. After you copy all car file to suitable folders open OPEN IV again, click "Edit Mode" and go: mod > update > x64 > dlcpacks > patchday22ng > dlc,rpf > x64 > levels > gta5 > vehicles.rpf .

And drag all files from "Models" folder on your deskop into OPEN IV (remember not folder only files). Than copy all from "VCF" to pack deflaut into ELS folder (just like you have it now). If everything goes correct run GTA V with Rage Plugin Hook, type Spawn POLICE into console (F4) and enjoy your new car.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. But it's still not working, I think it's something I'm doing wrong. CTRL + P is supposed to bring up the ELS menu right? Well, when I hit CTRL + P nothing comes up. 😞 OH I THINK IT'S BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ADVANCEDHOOK.ASI!!!

Unfortunatly I can't attach it, but it's in ELS folder, so just download it second time, put all files in GTA V main folder again and be sure that you download and install script hook V correctly. (If you need files for script hook here is the link:https://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/). If you will have more troubels send me screens of your main GTA V folder 😉.

It finally works, thank you so much. It was because I was missing ScriptHook.dll thank you for sending me that link!
