Completely new to PC Gaming

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I am completely new here but I do understand that this has been asked a million times. I am wondering, if in simple terms, someone could explain to me the bare minimum to have a decent experience playing LSPDFR in terms of a computer build.

I am a lifetime console player and LSPDFR would essentially be my dream game. My wife and I are currently expecting our first child so I am hoping to get the most wallet-friendly options. I get that you get what you pay for but if someone could, in layman's terms, outline a simple option for those of us that essentially just want a computer for the sole purpose of running this game and absolutely nothing else.. I just wish consoles could run this but obviously this isn't a perfect works haha.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

If your PC can run GTA V, it can run LSPDFR. Check out the system requirements for GTA V.

Hi Thanks for the response. The issue is i know nothing about computer components and have tried researching but i have compared them below. From my evaluation this would be perfectly adequate but honestly i know nothing about pc components...  or wether or not this could run GTA with mods..

Computer:

• Intel Core i5-4570 (Quad Core) @ 3.3Ghz

• 16 GB DDR3 RAM

• 180 GB SSD

• 500 GB HDD

• NEW Nvidia Geforce GT 1030 2GB DDR4 Video Card (HDMI + DisplayPort/VGA)

Rockstar Minimum Requirements

  • Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Free Hard Drive Space: 22GB
  • Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c Compliant Card

Let's say that you are on the edge, it can run mods but I don't think you will get above 15 frames. (Just a guess). But it's ok for vanilla GTAV.
