zmodeler 3 exporting 0kb for "_hi" file Please HELP!!!

Featured Replies

I am very new to zmodeler and am looking to make some nice cars for the community.  I have been watching numerous tutorials and researching everywhere on how to make vehicle files correctly.  I have followed all of my resources information as perfect as I possibly could and recently finished my first model in Zmodeler.  The only issue I am having is attempting to export my files.  I have the yft file come out no problem, but the _hi.yft continuously is being exported at 0kb.  I have searched up and down everywhere to try and fix this issue, but have not solved this problem in three days now. Any help would be great.  One last notation is when i try to spawn the car in game (I didn't think it was going to work, but figured I would try anyway) it comes up with error code ERR_STR_FAILURE_3.  Thank you to anyone who see's this and is able to help in any way in advance.

When you export there's a option list at the bottom of the window, set the Export LOD option to Autodetect, sounds like you have it on All

Thanks for the tip. I did definitely have it set to ALL. Although I did just change it and it still exported 0. Just to be 100% sure, should I be changing the file name to “police_hi” before exporting? Or leave it as “police” for both the yft and _hi.yft?  Thank you again. I changed it to auto detect now.

update!!! This did work leaving the name as "police"! My file sizes seem to be normal now.  Thank you very much for that fix. The only issue i am still having now is spawning it in game.  I am still getting the error code ERR_STR_Failure_3.

remember when exporting to the _hi file make sure you rename the file before eport so if its "police" change to "police_hi" thats why your getting 0kb's because if you check your status bar it will let you know that it wont export it... and thats why your normal file is working and not your _hi file 😉 hope this helps or you could easily copy your main file rename it and thats done also 😉
