LSPDFR Progression System

Featured Replies

Spoiler

Below I have created a basic progression system for players to follow. I believe it could add some much needed depth to the LSPDFR experience. I have created this based off Australian ranks as I live in Australia. If anyone would like to suggest further features how help develop this into a working plugin I would be more than happy to work with you. If anyone has any questions on the system I would answer them as best I can, however if people want to interpret the system differently they are free to do so.

LSPDFR Progression system

Shift time: 1 hour (real time)

Day shift times:

0700 - 0900

1000 - 1200

Night shift times:

1900 - 2100

2100 - 2300

2300 - 0100

0100 - 0300

Set time to real time using simple trainer and go on duty at time provided.

If shift is not completed due to death, current rank progression is lost.

If shift is not completed due to game issue, the shift will end but progression is kept.

This is a very nice option for people to use if they want that extra layer of realism. The perfect balance between a progression system, but not having it forced down your throat. Thank you for taking the time to make this!

Why this topic doesn't have more replies? It's awesome!

This is one of the thing I think is missing to LSPDFR, it's a progression system which makes sense as a gameplay feature.

Players need an incentive to come back, make a good job (or not) and have some sort of feedback from the game, feel like their actions have an impact.

Raising ranks wouldn't make sense in the mod, however, unlocking costumes/cars/weapons and other stuffs would be interesting.

Would love to see that implemented in the game!

IF something like this was to be implemented..I suggest making it either able to be disabled at any time (because people really hate constraints in terms of LSPDFR). Or just put into a pdf file for people to follow along at their leisure. That way it creates that platform of extra realism, but doesnt force people to specific cars.

I’ve used the system for a while now. Made a few changes but I do it all from my notes in my phone which makes it very annoying to punch in especially when the game is moving on quick like after a pursuit and you gotta clear traffic. Sometimes you just don’t remember to pause and put in all you got. So for it to be implemented as a feature I think is the only way it can work. However, I totally agree with you that some people would not agree with this. That’s why it would be great as a plug-in for people to download as they wish.

Yeah...it would be loads better as either a feature of LSPDFR, or if someone made it a plugin. I just feel like it being mandatory would drive a lot of people away. It has the potential to create roleplay but also take the boundless RP possibilities away.
