Can anyone write the lines needed to create a few special units like: detectives, crime scene, and command post?

 

I've tried a few times, but it is way outside of my scope, and I just end up crashing my game. I'm looking for just something I can copy and paste into the special units xml to add those units. I have EUP and all that currently set up with TreadRed's backup+ in my xml already.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

All you need to do is copy an existing line in SpecialUnits, paste it, and change the name and vehicles.  Gotta give it a few more tries. 🙂

Whats screwing me up the most is the ped selection with the integrated EUP options

Those can be tricky.  I don't even understand them, I never mess with the EUP stuff.  I leave it as is and just change the ped name.

What would be a good ped name for a crime scene guy, a detective, and then a command post guy...also any suggestions on vehicles for those?

Vehicles can be anything unmarked, even the Transit for crime scene tech.  Unfortunately I don't know about the peds off the top of my head, however if you have a trainer you can look through all the peds to find one that works.

How do i change the name of LocalPatrol or LocalSWAT to Patrol or Swat?

You can't change those names in defaultregions.  However you can create your own in SpecialUnits and name it whatever you please.

So would i be available to make a custom localpatrol in special units and then just change the name in there?

You can make it to where the special unit responds in a pursuit or as code 3 backup, but I don't think you can link local patrol and special units.

 

If you're asking if you can choose which area a unit responds in, like city or county, yeah you can.
