Sharing .ls and .bak files

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Obviously (and rightly so), distributing the LSPDFR mod files isn't allowed. However, is there any restriction on the sharing of .ls and .bak character files (found in lspdpfr\chars)? For example, let's say a friend likes the look of your character and wants to use it, would it be permitted to send the two files to that friend so they can use the character?

Just curious.

Sure. We will probably have a way to share LSPDFR Sync characters eventually, however, sharing .ls characters should be okay but isn't really supported or tested by us. Only the .ls file would be needed, the .bak is a backup.

Sharing a character that is connected with LSPDFR Sync to someone else might cause issues as some server-side metadata (e.g. ID) is stored in the character file, but it would probably be non-gamebreaking.
