Questions about ELS???

Featured Replies

Hello, Im new to GTA V on the PC and I'm honestly having a blast with it. Im still learning how to use mods and the trainers in the game. Recently in the game i installed the Police GT350R w/ELS. The vehicle looks great in the game and works perfectly other then all the lights. I downloaded ELS and im not sure how to actually use it. I loaded up the car got in and all the lights on the light bar are just on. They don't flash. I can turn them all on and off individually but i cant get the lights to function correctly. I'm just confused on how ELS actually works. Any advise would be appreciated. Thx

The way ELS works, assuming you're using default configuration, is designed to mimic a lighting controller box with a three-stage slider switch (seen in the image below from a Touchmaster, at the bottom left of the box itself). The idea is that putting the slider in Stage 3 activates your full code set, and backing the slider off progressively turns off more and more lights until they're all off.

In ELS, the default key to increase your lighting stage by one setting is J. Depending on how the vehicle's configuration file (VCF) is configured, the J key can be configured to go through the stages in different ways (refer to ELS user manual, bottom of page 12 for more).
