The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Rage could not hook game process

Featured Replies

I'd really like to get this running and have tried everything I could find here about this problem.  Attached is the crash log and below are my system specs.  GTA launches fine by itself.

I've tried giving the ragepluginhook an exception in my antivirus as well as disabling it entirely, I've tried elevated privileges, increased the timeout to 60000, I reinstalled the game completely and installed LSPDFR and then Rage to make sure I had correct versions.  I disabled the Steam overlay and the Nvidia overlay.

Not sure what else to try but I'll give anything else a shot.  Let me know if you need any other info.

Asus ROG GL703GM

Intel i7-8750H 2.20GHz

GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 @ 6.0

32gb DDR4 PC4-21300

Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Thanks

Same here.

Nothing that is pointing towards a possible error.

I found the Solution!

Go into your GTA V savegame location and delete it!

It worked for me after that!

Which is where?  When I had installed LSPDFR it was on a brand new install of GTA 5 with no games having ever been saved.

Thank you

Welp it only seems to have worked once.

I'm testing out more stuff.
I'll keep you updated, as I think that we got the same problem!

Today I tried to update the .NET versions.

I got it running by deleting the savefile.
As I closed it and started with the same config, it didn't work.

And I also didn't manage to reproduce it!

Rockstar automatically creates a new savefile the first time you start the Game.
Thats how I got to get the Rockstar Launcher to open the pop-up 'Enable Cloud Save'.
As I clicked on Deny the RPH hooked the Game Process.

I had to go throught the Campaign start.
But it had no flawes. Every additional mod seems to work!

Very Interesting.

I've had the GeForce overlay disabled from the beginning.  Also, Windows firewall and defender are disabled entirely as I use Mcafee.  I have exceptions in Mcafee firewall and virus for Rage since the beginning also.

Needless to say this thing still doesn't work.  It till surprises me why its this difficult to get this thing to work.

Thank you for your efforts.

Aight. I'll try my best to bust this error with you.

1. Try adding an exception for the whole GTA V folder.

2. Go into your regedit. Locate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Wow6432Node -> Rockstar Games -> Grand Theft Auto V.
Post a Screenshot of the InstallFolder.

3. Do you have Rivatuner?

NEVERMIND!

I just read throught your RagePluginHook log.
Your install location is wrong bud!

Change the folder name from: Grand Theft Auto V modded             to             Grand Theft Auto V

Important is that you rename your base (unmodded) folder to smth like Grand Theft Auto V Original so you don't mess up!

This should resolve the issue!

I was bored this weekend and did a whole new install w/ my fingers crossed.  Disabled McAfee virus and firewall entirely, disabled the xbox overlay as well as having steam and geforce overlays still disabled, renamed the folder without modded, ran it as admin and with the extended timeout.

Still no good. I'm giving up, this mod shouldn't be this difficult plus all the additional crashes and problems everyone is having now.  It's not worth the hassle.

Thank you so much for trying to get it running for me, though.

Sorry to hear that. I've been experiencing some errors lately. It's what it is.

Have a good one!

I just started having the same problem out if the blue, haven't changed a thing and woke up to the error. BUT I had an update of GeForce Experience and sure enough overlay was on. Turned that off and it started working again.
