What software are you using? When you looked it up, it didn't tell you how to fix it? I am not sure what power management you are talking about when it comes to restarting the computer. Most power management software for windows, will put your computer to sleep/hibernate or turn off items (monitor/usb/network). However, most of these power management tools will only kick on if your computer is idle (not being used).

With the limited information I have, I am guessing it maybe a power supply related issue. As in your power supply is not providing enough power. Before you say that your PSU is a ### watt or higher, be sure to check the rating on the power supply as some are less efficient with power.

So, in closing please provide more information as to what you found in your troubleshooting, along with additional system specifications (cpu, ram, motherboard, hard drive, video card, power supply, etc.) You can use programs such as speccy, cpu-z or dxdiag to find this information.

yeah its most likely not getting enough power. I keep finding and seeing more and more things that makes me think it is that. but, I keep seeing you can disable the protection, do you know how?

I downloaded Speccy, it shows me the temps. or power supply or whatever it is lol it reads : CPU AMD FX-4100 12 C RAM 8gb Dual Channel ddr3 @ 669MHz : Motherboard 38C Graphics LCD TV 1024MB GeForce 550Ti *EVGA) 35 C Hard Drives 466gb 44 C

I have no idea what kind of protection you are taking about. You mentioned ASUS and that you did some research on this, any information you can provide would be helpful. If the computer is restarting, it sounds like too much power is being pulled or something else. There is just too little information at this time to assist. Did you build this PC or is a store buy? Possible to get the power supply make/model? Is this hooked up to an battery backup unit?

do you have it plugged into an extension cord? if you do, unplug it, and plug it into the wall, i had a similar problem cause of the extension cord, it can burn out your system cause not enough power is going to your computer, and your computer will work over time, and eventually, crash, i learnt the hard way..
