*facepalm* Ok firstly you have not posted in the right section, this section even says it's not for support threads.

Secondly please read the following

Before posting a topic in this section, please ensure that you have:

- Checked for similar issues to yours in this forum

Our forum staff are constantly having to deal with duplicate support requests. Before posting a topic here, please make sure that there is no other topic posted which is similar to your issue, instead, read that topic and look for any solutions - if none are present, you can then start a new topic with information regarding your problem. Please do not, however, hijack threads by other member, i.e. do not post your issue, within an existing support request of another user.

- Tried simple solutions

Before posting a support request please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that FirstResponse.net.dll is in the SCRIPTS folder and that AdvancedHook.dll is in the GTA IV ROOT folder.
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the SCRIPTS folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the automatic installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: http://www.microsoft...9f-b21f31ab88b7, http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en
  • Run a diagnostic report (found here: ) which will point any errors it can find and will be used later on if you need to post a topic.

- Complied with topic posting procedure in this section

If you need to post a topic requesting support, make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post your diagnostics report log dump.
  • Post any other relevant logs.
  • Include as much information as possible.

Maybe that will give you a little bit of help

how do i find gta iv when it says installion success

Well, this is not really your topic, nor is it relevant to this topic, but you can find GTA:IV by going to your computer and pasting the following in the address bar:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV
