[DLSv2][ELS Hybrid][32 sirens][Add-On] Margate Police Department (Florida) 2.0

(1 review)

13 Screenshots

IMPORTANT NOTE: this pack uses all 32 available sirens, which means you will require the SirenSetting Limit Adjuster in order for them to work. If you don't have it installed then the lights will look dumb just like you for not having it. Anyway, moving on...

This is my very first vehicle upload and i decided to go with the Margate Police Department (Florida). The lighting may not be as interesting but i really loved the livery. I'm sure many of you will love it too.

* ELS Version

ELS version features full scene mode (takedown and scene lights together), cruise function (lighting stage 1), "park pattern" (stage 2) and forced pattern when honking the horn. It includes optional lore friendly liveries for the Rockford Hills PD and Los Santos PD aswell.

** Models included:

- 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV (mpd21tahoe)

* DLSv2 Version

The DLSv2 version of this pack features full scene mode, alley lighting, takedowns, cruise function (corners and full cruise), brake override, horn override, door kill and siren tone kill (meaning it will shut off when out of the vehicle). It also includes optional lore friendly liveries for the Rockford Hills PD and Los Santos PD.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Keep in mind that this pack works exclusively with DLSv2. DLSv1.4 configs won't work with this or any other vehicle pack that uses DLSv2 since the latter was completely reworked recently and, unfortunately, updating to the latest version would mean you'll have to get rid of your previous configs.

** Models included:

- 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV (mpd21tahoe-dls)

* Stage 3 Lighting showcase:

https://streamable.com/1dzwi7

* Full DLSv2 showcase:

https://streamable.com/0fhkno

NOTE REGARDING CUSTOM LIVERIES: if you wish to add your own liveries, you will need to replace tahoe71_reflective with a transparent texture. Otherwise it will clip through it and it won't look right.

The lighting on this vehicle pack is based on its real life counterpart, but feel free to edit the carcols and make your own pattern. If you feel it's going too fast, you can also change the lighting's speed by editing the <sequencerBpm value="1180" /> line in the carcols.meta file. I suggest you to learn more about carcols before doing so.

* There are some more vehicles i plan to add in the future when i get the base models, such as:

- 2019 Dodge Durango

- 2018 Dodge Charger

If you guys find any interior equipment references, please do let me know through private messages on here or discord and i'll update the pack as soon as possible.

Hit me up if you find any bugs, glitches or missed credits. Have fun!

What's New in Version 2.0

Released

2.0

* A DLSv2 version has been added with a bit more accurate lighting to its real life counterpart (make sure to read all texts files included)

An unmarked 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2019 Dodge Charger is currently in the works. Stay tuned for the next updates.

1.4.1

* Minor issue update: plate lights not lighting up on stage 3 are now working as intended

If there's no further issues, this will be the last update regarding this vehicle. Future updates will include more vehicles (might be adding more than the ones listed). Thank you for your patience and feedback.

1.4

* Remapped lights as well as pattern modifications on stage 2 lighting

* Due to its limitations, ELS extras were moved to a different position in the hierarchy in order to have better pattern customization. Instead, to avoid issues with certain lights staying in place, they were hidden away in order to create the illusion of "turning them off" when specific doors are open.

1.3

* An issue regarding sirens clipping through takedowns and scene lights should now be fixed

* Updated livery. Optional 2K and PNG textures were also added (read important info regarding the liveries)

* Updated console equipment (radio, laptop mount and DVR)

* Reduced unrealistic environmental lighting intensity

* Improved dirt mapping on the push bumper

Short Description

Margate Police (Florida) pack featuring both DLSv2 and ELS hybrid configurations w/ optional lore friendly liveries (RHPD, LSPD)

thanks for the feedback, sir. i also think the environmentals don't look quite right so im already working on it along with some other issues/bugs

wigwags may be added in a later update since i've only seen one unit using them and im already working on the next project.

if you wanna add your own liveries, you will require to replace the tahoe71_reflective texture with a blank one (meaning it has to be completely transparent)

a little oversight on my part. should be fixed now.

Hey man, great model. However, I did notice extra_5 turns on the passenger mirror honk mode which causes the white mesh to float when the door has been opened. You did it properly with extra_6, I assume this was just something overlooked.

Could contain: plane, airplane, outdoor, vehicle, sky, red, parked, white, blue, painted, aviation

Now that I'm looking further, this issue is also present inside extra_8 and extra_12. For extra_12, both the passenger and driver side have this issue as all the white meshes are attached under this one extra.

Considering all you need is two extra slots for both sides consisting of the white mirror mesh, I would just have two separate ones that double for the honk and flood modes.

This is my suggestion for the extra list;

  • extra_4 = Driver Side White Mirror Mesh (Inside door_dside_f)
  • extra_5 = Passenger Side White Mirror Mesh (Inside door_pside_f)
  • extra_6 = Rest of Honk Mode Meshes
  • extra_7 = Driver Side Blue Mirror Mesh (Inside door_dside_f)
  • extra_8 = Passenger Side Red Mirror Mesh (Inside door_pside_f)
  • extra_9 = Rest of Cruise Mode Meshes
  • extra_ten = Plate Light Cruise Mesh (Inside boot)
  • extra_11 = Front Takedowns
  • extra_12 = Rest of Flood Mode Meshes

Using that extra list, extra_4 and extra_5 would be utilized during the honk mode alongside the flood mode. Hope this can help and make this model even better then before, loving it!

thanks for the feedback, sir!

i considered your suggestion and decided to test it out and, unfortunately, it had a few limitations:

1. Extra_4 is used by the primary lighting on ELS. This means it can't be turned off during stage 3 which makes it impossible to sync properly with the sirens

2. For the forced honk pattern (extras 5 and 6), i'd have to decide which light stays in place and which one gets attached to the door. Either way, the result is the same.

3. For extras 7, 8, 9 and 10, while both front doors would be just fine, the plate lights would stay on the whole time since they can't be turned off during stage 2 and 3. This is because extra_ten is used for steady burn lights and it will mess with the plate lights on those stages.

ultimately, i used a different method for the mapping (see update changelog) and i can confidently say it looks better than expected.

thanks again for the feedback and stay tuned for more updates!

First time using DLS, and man... You did an AMAZING JOB. The model is perfect and the lighting stages are amazing! I'm extremely excited for your upcoming work! (Please be DLS) lol.. Also question, not sure if its an xml file issue or a DLS issue, whenever either the turn signals or the cruise lights AI traffic tends to move out of the way for some reason.. Is there any way I can change that?
