This mod edits your average peds in GTA V. Cops, EMTs, firemans to your regular postman. It Gives them a fresh new look with over a hundred different combos of face variations and hair and it changes theirs uniforms to look like the one used in EUP.

Installation

2) Once the main files are installed, download the Recommended config meta files, and install the content in your update.rpf with openIV

If you use cop holster (recommended) and/or Ultimate Backup, I included xml files for you to place in your plugins folder


NOTE
- Without the recommended meta configs files, you'll experience peds with hair clippinf through their hat, inconsistent ambient spawns and dispatch system.

For Cop Holster plugin: (Needed in order for the gun holster, taser and baton to properly display on/off)

dumb question: let´s say I only want the sheriff ped to work properly. How do I achieve this?

Replacing the ped isn´t a problem but as you quote, missing hair, empty holsters and clipping issues appear. 

 

I ask because installing it via OIV and replacing all metas crashes my game.

Also replacing a ped and the metas manually makes the ped disappear completely.

For the holster you need to install the plugin 

And use the copholster.xml I provided, as for the hair clipping, a line code needs to be changed in peds.ymt, but only for peds that are being replaced. But the main replaced peds models are for the most part bald, (except females). But yeah one line needs to be edited in peds.ymt for each peds.

Curious as to why your game is crashing tho, that's why I don't like making mods where I need to edit update.rpf files. But there is no other way around it.

During singleplay, BCSO sheriffs use an LSSD patrol car. can you fix it in the next update?

(im already using BCSO Pack.)

You would have to go into your ultimate back up config or your lspdfr back up config and change the vehicles. There is no way for Alex to adjust the models for everyone because we all use diffrent packs. He was nice enough to include the lore friendly pack for 11john11 models.

lml has something good and something bad, the good thing is its simplicity and functionality, the bad thing is that, for example, if I want to replace some EUP textures in a lml folder, it can't even be done with OpenIV since it's something incompatible with how I would do it in a dlcpack folder, correct me if I'm wrong

You are wrong 😉 you can make changes to the files directly from the lml files location in OpenIV. That’s how I made the mod so ^^

I think it has to do with something about LSPDFR and how it load peds ambientely, this would be the only way to experience this, but I'll look into it.

ok, so I messed around with it a bit. Using sheriff02 for sheriff as replace, deleting the props (glasses and hats) and it was ok.

Because changing the peds.ymt causes a crash.... (which line would need to be edited for the clipping, or is it just for the hair? - no issues with the hair)

Got everything working except for the mics and vests (mics are doubled or wrong, vests do not appear)

 

I thought about using the ranger model with the sheriff texture instead (because only one mic option) Everything fine, but when they pull out the gun, the mic disappears. When they holster it the mic appears again but the holster remains empty then.

 

strangely when starting the game without RPH, vests and mics apply as they should but then holsters are (of course) mostly empty...

and I can´t play LSPDFR of course....

is this clearly compatible with EUP configurations? It has nothing to do right? is that EUP configurations have their own peds that appear in the station

I've faced some issues with the recommended config meta files.

  • The location of the "zonebind.ymt" file is placed in  "x64\levels" when it should actually be in "x64\levels\gta5".
  • The player isn't able to shoot police officers but you can melee them up close with a gun.
  • It causes weird issues with other mods like Player Companion that utilizes peds causing them to not function properly.

apologies but there is not enough direction on how to install this. the oiv file can't download because apparently the files aren't even finished and lml doesn't work. help?

it has its own outfits but you can replace them in the files, it takes regular EUP files, only the motorcop badge from the LSPD and normal LSPD are the diffrent template, other then that you can change it with ur textures

Noticed this problem with the firemen, both have mismatched uniform textures and one has floating goggles.

Fabulous. Apart from making the residents of San Andreas look... Well, human, this is by far the easiest way to get Ultimate Backup units to use EUP uniforms - all the others are all equally fiddly in their own special ways.

 

One thing I noticed though - installing the meta files breaks the dispatcher in some areas such as near Mirror Park, Del Perro Pier, and others. They'll say "San Andreas" when they refer to that area, and on Player Location Display, these areas will also show up as "Area N/A, San Andreas".

 

I'm guessing the issue is with zonebind.ymt, given this is how the issue manifests. I haven't tried comparing the default and modified files to figure out what's different in them to cause this issue yet. Either way, if this is an unintentional breakage, it would be nice to see it fixed. I'll try fixing it myself if I can, but I accidentally overwrote my backup file, so I'll have to get the vanilla one from elsewhere first lol

i didnt know how to instal it is too much files and i get crashing game... can anyone help how to instal step by step or instal video whole process... i try oiv link and i get crash the game i dont know what is problem... help how to instal step by step to get it right

Yeah we are aware of this issue and a fix we'll be maybe eventaully, even though the collaborator doing edits to these files is currently very ill. So that may take a bit and it's not very my area of expertise, I probably cause more damage toying with the file.
