Los Santos Metropolitan Police Department

(LSMPD)

Mega-Pack

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Information:

I've been working on this pack now for well over a month, with at least a week or so dedicated to testing to make sure this pack was fit for purpose.

The pack contains 8 vehicles, ranging from patrol vehicles to SWAT trucks. They are based loosely off the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, but instead it features a different light pattern. The pack features a full halogen light bar, with additional lighting across the vehicle.

This pack contains:

  • 2010-2013 Police Supervisor Vehicle
  • 2011 Police Crown Victoria Patrol Vehicle
  • 2014 Police Dodge Charger Patrol Vehicle
  • 2016 Police Taurus Patrol Vehicle
  • 2013 Police Ford Explorer Patrol Vehicle
  • 2015 Police Chevy Tahoe Patrol Vehicle
  • Lenco Bearcat SWAT Vehicle
  • 2011 Expedition Patrol and Supervisor Vehicle
  • 2014 Caprice Patrol Vehicle
  • Chevy Express PT/ Detention Van

Features:
• Full halogen light bar
• Compatible with my other packs
• Optional 2k and 4k liveries (Found in the second download)

The carcols.ymt and the carvariations files are necessary for the light bar to work properly. Full details can be found the ReadMe.

THIS CARCOLS IS FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH MY OTHER PACKS.

This download comes in 2 parts:

Part one: Vehicles, VCFs, Documentation

Part Two: Templates, Screenshots and Optional extras

BIG THANK YOU to my discord testers:

I have written a guide on how to get the rotors working in 2020 if you find you can't get them to work:

Also, here is a file to help convert rotors and LEDs to all blues:

These vehicles are not based of any specific department. Please don't comment on it being inaccurate or whatever. It's not meant to be.

I will not be providing support in installing these files. All the info is in the ReadMe.

Please consider donating, as you help keep myself making models and help show your appreciation towards my work. This is entirely optional though 🙂

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Bugs:

  • Cuffed individuals will partially stick through the back panels of the Express. If they sit regularly, this does not occur (uncuffed).
  • Insides of the Expeditions tires have no textures (fixing as we speak... I hope)

If there are bugs or whatever, just PM me.

Also You can extract it to desktop and edit with Notepad++ I will show an image of wha I mean I found out some large XML files will freeze due to the size of the file so I was advised by many modders to Use Notepad++ to edit the XML files. Since then I have been using that I even change ini files with Notepad++

This is me inside the Carcols XML file with notepad++ after extracting it to Desktop when I exported it to desktop I used Extract to META/XML So now you can simply just edit what you need to edit Lctrl+S to save the file then turn Edit mode back on in OpenV then drag and drop the XML you just saved after editing it this will as we know replaces the original one.

Just to remind you both, editing my siren settings in the carcols files are against my TOS.

Having said that, the error I see in OpenIV denotes a line error. I would check there to make sure you’ve not made an error there.

I have not touch any of the sirens in this pack that user was mentioning something about an error with XML This was an Example of how to edit XML files that are allowed to be edited I will even send you an video that I have not touch any of the Codeing.

Yeah no worries lad, I guessed you wouldn't, just a friendly reminder.

I agree Notepad++ is the best tool to edit XMLs too.

hey idea can you make a text document in each vehicle folder with that vehicles .meta files so i dont have to use your .meta files for all the vehicles in that pack? or use someone elses .metas like emergency distributions

Hi I'm having issues finding RPF For the vehicles I only see the vehicles in the folder is it possible to bring all of them in DLCPacks? if so is that possible? thank you for your time

I hope this pack will make a return, I'd love updated and new cars like a 2020 Explorer and Tahoe.

Could use some help. I put all meta files and carcols in the correct locations and put in the latest dlc patch but my lights on my lightbar don't work in the back and stuck solid in the front as if they just don't flash or rotate. Any ideas how to fix this?

Could contain: vehicle, land vehicle, outdoor, wheel, sky, text, road, screenshot, way, car, street, ground

Could contain: vehicle, outdoor, land vehicle, road, wheel, way, thoroughfare, lane, car, asphalt, highway, road surface, ground, mountain, street, roadway

I do have a question. So I got the modpack DLC and set up the lines in between VariationData but do I need to put these in my other meta locations or just put the names of all the vehicles I want to use like police, police2, and ect, in between those lines in that modpack meta?

Edit- So I added all the police variations into the modpack meta and the lights only switched location but are still froze in location. I'll do some more digging but haven't solved issue yet.

I'm not sure what I did wrong when installing it, but the three white lights are staying only in the back. I'm not sure if it should do that or not. A little help would be nice.

Still a 10/10 pack

Could contain: vehicle, land vehicle, wheel, text, automotive lighting, road, vehicle registration plate, full-size car, outdoor, automotive tail & brake light, mid-size car, auto part, automotive light bulb, tire, sedan, automotive exterior, transport, car, light
