Installation

Extract the contents of the download directly into your main Grand Theft Auto V installation directory.

The plugin files should be placed in:

Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\

The configuration file can be found at:

Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\CrypticCallouts.ini

From there, you can enable or disable individual callouts, change the callout end key and adjust various scenario settings.

Please make sure you read the included documentation before editing the configuration.

Configuration

Cryptic Callouts includes a configuration file that allows you to customise parts of the plugin.

Depending on the version, available options include:

  • Enabling or disabling individual callouts

  • Changing the callout end key

  • Adjusting minimum spawn distances

  • Adjusting maximum spawn distances

  • Changing Bank Robbery outcome chances

  • Changing Store Robbery outcome chances

  • Other scenario-specific settings

When changing outcome chances, make sure the configured values are set sensibly so scenarios behave as expected.

About Cryptic Callouts

CrypticCallouts is still in early development.

This is my first LSPDFR callout pack, and I'll be honest, it's been a learning experience. The original release was fairly basic, but development has continued quickly and the pack has already received major improvements.

I'm continuing to work on improving existing callouts, fixing bugs, improving stability and adding more variety where possible.

The goal is to keep making CrypticCallouts better with every update.

Feedback and Bug Reports

Feedback is always appreciated.

If you find a bug, something doesn't work as expected, or you have an idea that could improve a callout, feel free to let me know.

Constructive feedback and bug reports are especially useful while the pack is still being actively developed.

Thanks for downloading and supporting CrypticCallouts.

What's New in Version 2.0.0

Released

v2.0.0

CrypticCallouts 2.0.0 is a major update that expands the pack from 6 callouts to 10, while also improving spawning, stability and overall callout behaviour.

What's New?

This update introduces four new callouts:

  • Street Shooting

  • Stolen Vehicle

  • Domestic Disturbance

  • Gang Fight

Improvements

A large amount of work has gone into improving how CrypticCallouts handles spawning and entities.

  • Improved callout spawning reliability

  • Added safer ground placement for pedestrians

  • Added improved entity stabilisation

  • Added yellow GPS route blips across callouts

  • Improved entity persistence and cleanup

  • Improved behaviour when callouts spawn further away from the player

  • Added more configuration options and individual callout toggles

Existing Callouts

The existing callouts have also received improvements.

Armed Mugging has improved spawning and entity handling.

Bank Robbery and Store Robbery have improved entrance-based scenarios and configurable outcomes.

Hostage Situation continues to feature its expanded negotiation system, with multiple choices, dialogue paths and possible outcomes.

Riot has received improved crowd handling and stability.

Volatile Pursuit has improved vehicle behaviour, armed occupants and pursuit handling.

Configuration

Version 2.0.0 gives players more control over the pack, including:

  • Enable or disable any of the 10 callouts individually

  • Configure minimum and maximum spawn distances

  • Configure the callout end key

  • Configure stabilisation distance

  • Configure Bank Robbery outcomes

  • Configure Store Robbery outcomes

A Major Step Forward

This is the biggest update to CrypticCallouts so far.

The focus of version 2.0.0 has been expanding the amount of content available while making the existing callouts more reliable and enjoyable to play.

CrypticCallouts is still actively being developed, and more updates, improvements and fixes are planned.

Why do people have to use AI, it spoils the fun, you don't learn anything from it, and it's never unique.

AI was used purely for the description, nothing else, and if you're accessing the code to determine your false facts, I'll remind you it's against my ToS, so think a bit more wisely before slandering people.

Why would I do that - Did I say I was going to access the code? NO

Common sense would be that the only way for you to make such an accusation is to access the code and determine it's AI and not hand-written.

Like I said, ""AI was used to help generate the description, the CHANGELOG.md, CREDITS.md, DISCLAIMER.md, README.md and TERMS_OF_USE.md. The mod itself was created by myself, and contains no AI generated content."

The only real purpose to your comment was to attempt to agitate me, I appreciate you don't have the knowledge to make your own plugins, but that doesn't give you the right to accuse people of using AI when you can't backup your accusations, not that there is any as it's not AI written.

In fact reading the comment you said to micheal about CPT is the reason I wrote the message. You didn't specify that it was just used for that.

But I did. It is clearly stated in the AI Disclosure.

And the only reason I use ChatGPT for description's and MD files is because I have dyslexia, which makes it hard for me to type up detailed, descriptions, documents, etc... And a description with a shit ton of spelling mistakes doesn't look good whatsoever.

Hello, I just wanted to point out that the assembly version of your plugin is: 1.0.0.0 instead of: 2.0.0.0

Thank you for pointing that out, I'll get that sorted on my next update.

Never understood why people go out of their way to start a confrontation over meaningless BS. Does it really matter if he used AI or not? No bc how does it directly affect your life? It doesnt. If you dont like AI then simply dont use anything that implemented AI, whether that be content or just descriptions. Its not that hard to not be a complete dick.
