    You cant hit "ctrl" then "m". You have to hit "crtl" and "m" at the exact same time.

    If installed correctly you should be able to use h to make the siren go off or use express mode and you turn that on by pressing left ctrl key and backspace. That binds them to default "G" key.

    I just restart the game, usually on the second or third time in it stays for a while.

    I believe it is backwards compatible. That is why I chose to go with v7. I have used a v6 car on it with no problems.
