I was in the middle of a traffic stop in Algonquin when I received a call for a pursuit. I decided to let the suspect go (minor offense) and I sped off to catch up with the chase. I caught up with the pretty damaged vehicle with two suspects, and began to follow them leaving some room in-between. After chasing for a little while the suspect's vehicle ran up a sidewalk, and ran over a woman. I knew the chase had to end there before they hurt someone else so when they reentered the roadway I performed a pit maneuver. Somehow I forced the car to slide off the road and when it did it flipped, smashed into a building and immediately caught on fire. The suspects were trying to escape the flipped vehicle when it exploded, and burned both of them alive. Now I call that karma!
Lesson: Don't run over women!
