  1. Ok so for some reason, when I installed it on the copy versions, it would place the scripthook and dsound things outside the folder with the main gta IV, installers, and scripts folders. So now scripts went in the gta IV folder and everything else is in the right place. It finally works. Thanks for the help guys!
  2. Yes I am using the LaunchGTAIV.exe. And I will try the idea of using a copy as the master file. Should I uncheck the read only feature first, before installing lcpdfr? Or does it even matter?
  3. I have been trying for 2 days to get this to work but nothing has fixed it. I remember played LCPDFR somewhere around Feb. this year and it worked but only after fixing a problem which I cant remember. But anyway I am using the steam version which I dont think matters at all. And I have installed the mod on a copy of the original GTA4 file so that I dont screw up the master file. And I have installed the .95 RC2 version. The master file is default checked on the read only thing so after i made the copy that I modded I unselected that. I have the frame work and the c++ thing installed. I restarted my pc when it told me to and it still didnt work. I got all checks on the 4 check list when I installed the mod. I tried the diagnostics tool but it said I didnt have the dsound or any of that other stuff because it i think it was going into the clean version of GTA4 instead of the modded one i have. I have looked in the modded one and it shows that scrip things and dsound things. Its all there. And since I dont know how to change the directory on the diag tool thats pretty much useless to me. But ill show what it says anyway.
