If I downloaded an F-150 police truck, and the files are polpatriot.wft polpatriot.wtd Can I simply change the name of this file to police2.wft and police2.wtd and have it work like that?

Finally starting to get the hang of the whole modding the game, from installing all new vehicles , els system and so on so forth.. However, where I do get slightly puzzled is, a lot of the skins for my local police departments that I wish to install into my game, are not the .wft .wtd files, they are just the images. Can someone enlighten me on how to install the images so I can have the cars ? Thanks, Mathew.

From what I read, it seems to crash a lot when requesting backup, that's why my initial install was just V5

I think thats where I get lost, when I open up spark IV, program files (86x) > Steam > SteamAPPS > Common > Grand Theft auto IV > GTAIV > Scripts > but then my trail goes cold? Would anyone be willing to take a bit of time to help me out?

Hello. I have GTA4 for steam. I also have installed the lcpdfr 0.95 With that being said, I have some police car skins installed. Actually, ill make this a two-port question. First problem I have is, the skins work great, however I cannot make the lights work, I get the siren sound, but no overhead lights. I have watched a few youtubes and all the lights seem to work fine as well as they can have the lights running without any siren noise. Second part of my question is, how can I have multiple police skins, for example if I wanted to have some unmarked units as well as marked units, is this possible? Thanks, Mathew

Okay I have figured this bug out. It's because I'm running a 4G video card, I created a file in the GTAIV directory called "commandline" and put in -availablevidmem 2.0 It now tells steam im running with a 2G card and solves all of my problems. Thanks for everyones help,

Hi there, so I took off one of the police car skins and it got rid of most of the graphic issues, however seems kind of laggy and takes time to load the graphics. I put back on a different skin and the same issue comes again. I go into graphic settings and it says im using the maximum for this game and I should reduce my settings however when I try to reduce settings in game it will not allow me. Mat

All i know is I put on LCPDFR 0.95 and 2009 liberty city highway patrol police car, but thats it.
