Patch for LCPDFR for controls..
That is what I am referring to, my action key is "END". I never bothered with WASD keys, I can't remember were all them key functions are on the left side of the keyboard, I do not play my games on a laptop. That is just a traveling computer to me. I use a desk top with a real key board. And If I do, I know others do too. So if my action key is "END" then the action key in the mod should also be able to be remapped to this key, because in the game it displays "to use computer use 'END'" But instead I have to use "E". so it isn't really complicated. For example There is a Pursuit mod, simple enough, they are able to set the keys all the way to the number pad. A briliant I deal. I do not have any key binding issues with the game. Even the lights and siren selections work just fine. They do not in LCPDFR, If I change the lights and sriern system, well I loose the siren and just have lights. Well if one key was handling the siren and another handled the lights, well ok, but in stead it is the same key. So I know there is a conflict some place. Because in the Pursuit mod I can change all that with their one key, and it all works normal. No Issues. Problem is I like LCPDFR better, that is why I am looking at the patch for a better key board binding to work with the game instead of trying to over ride the game. Because it is never gonna happen. Game will just crash to no end first before that. So if it is a "Action Function" then it should be controlled by the main menu controls. Because the game is not having a issue trying to attempt to run the mod under its own key bindings for certain functions. Like on duty "P", no response from the game, can very much put that any were. After all "ALT+P" by game default makes you jump out of the car, and "ALT-P" takes you off duty, "ALT-P" when you use it to call in a pursuit anyway. lol, mod din't stop this, not gonna happen. But like other stuff, such as putting some one in the car, computer, open the door, game display action mapping "END" but in the game it dose nothing and "E" dose it instead.. Not hard to understand..

Patch for LCPDFR for controls..
I have tried this, but the LCPDFR game--> keeps returning them back<--. Even though the ini file is still changed, but in the game it is restored. And the conflicts continue. That is why I am saying it needs a patch for this. I wish I knew what each function control was what, I just map the action keys myself to work with the game action menu instead of on top of it causing the game to crash when you use one key that is also used by something else, And relocate Alt and Ctrl keys. For example, like I have to engage a Pursuit, So I have to reach across the world to get to "E" because "ALT+P" by game default makes you jump out of the car, "ALT-P" takes you off duty, "ALT-P" engages pursuit mod but is canceled because your off duty while rolling across the hyway because you ejected from your car. So the LCPDFR key binding mapping is a serious problem. It will never be able to cancel game protocol controls. I do mods myself for games like the S.T. A.L.K.E.R. series. There is no over writing the existing game key bindings by a mod. Most these config seems the same, like "E" can be found everywhere in the ini for things that you must do for action. That is my whole point. -->The game Already has this function for action<--, so why not just binded to the menu control for action? If I understood this thing a bit to what is to be action and horn or something, I try to make the adjustments myself. How do you get it to bind to a existing key for the game menu? It may seem to have the worst port, one thing for sure, I am not buying a copy of GTA V so I can play LSPDFR. That is why I own GTA IV. I very much getting done as is..

Patch for LCPDFR for controls..
That is the thing, I do not own any x-box controller, I never use controllers for FPS games. I have always used the keyboard and the mouse, plus a joy stick. It has been a perfect match for years. So your telling me I can use "any" Xbox controller?

Patch for LCPDFR for controls..
The game crashes from time to time, mainly when using certain controls for the key board. It may me think that the key bindings were made only for players that use only x-box controllers, as if keyboard/ mouse plays do not exist anymore. I am thinking a way for LCPD to be re-biddable keys may stop certain conflicts. For example my action key is mapped to "END" because it is worthless for any usage all the way by WASD keys (another time wasting key set). By the time I get to "E" to "R" for any thing important, the event is over. So by having my main keys by my directional arrow set, it is easer. No matter Number pad set or not. Problem is, it clashes with LCPDFR key arrangements. For example, I have a horn assignment to the middle mouse wheel pushed down. Same function is for kick, LCPD has its own assignment for the siren. I do not understand the propose because once used divide and the lights verses siren, the siren no longer work. Just the lights. Should had been lights separate from horn if it is to be, so I never use divide. Could be a conflict for the horn option in the main game, I believe that. So anyway I go to kick, well with the mod in, I kick and get a crash. So I am thinking the some of these LCPD related crashes could be over key binding. And I also tried to change the key bindings in LCPDFR to other keys open and not in use, it will not take. It keeps re-storing the key binding change in the game. This tells me there is a default file some place making this very needed action impossible, And a fail to resolve the key bind conflict in the game. For most of these controls are single, and by all rights the in game menu should handle it most of these are action functions anyway.. there is no way I can re-do all my own keys for the sake of LCPDFR settings, In my condition this will never be possible.. its too hard dealing with all that left handed WASD functions I am not left handed, I can afford $65.00 wireless X-box controller so I can put in more money for batteries for only ONE game. lol, money is not worth it. Mod sole the game to me, not the game. Now I use a desktop not a laptop, makes my directional keys easy get to.. I am think for the most functions that is needed, should work off the existing key set. For example, let say "E" is a mod action key set. The game already has a action key set, So when I sit in the car, it directs me to enable the computer by the "END" key, this is what I use for action mapping in the main game, So I use it and it doesn't work. But I have to use "E" for the action, a action that is already used by the regular game menu for the phone. So I hit "END" and it dose nothing because of the mod override, so I use "E", not only can I use the computer, but now my phone is open too. And while in this function, I may have to use "SHIFT" for cap letters. So NOW we have a extra key combo set to assure a crash, Was this not thought of? This is why I am thinking of a patch for re-assigning keys for LCPDFR mod. Wouldn't that be something, if this was done, and it crashed was more so game related and less mod?

LCPD:FR Features
But if you have a timer on a suspicious vehicle because it has a bomb that explodes, The vehicle isn't suspicious anymore because of the timer it has explains why, I would pass on a call like that because that is what swat and the bomb squad is for, so it would be ignored by me including any states regarding it. If a timer is on a suspicious, and it is on the other side of town. I personal am not going to rush, crashing into everything over a suspicious vehicle call with a timer. There AI officer everywhere close by, they can handle it, the call will also be passed and stats ignored by me as a player. Because what is nice about LCPDFR is it is role play-able. I personally play games the let role play possible, and I know if I do, I am sure there are also many as well. GTA didn't sell the game to me, GTA bores me, I have the old welcome to liberty city, Vice City and San Andreas. When San Andreas came out, I was done with GTA. Same story, went from stealing cars to all this other thug stuff I could carless about, I never finished Vice City and San Andreas. I wish there was a mod to just unlock the entire game so I can roll through in simulation. So Why do I have GTA IV? Because YOUTUBE vides of LCPDFR sold the game to me. I am sure I am not alone, and timers, well would ruin the environment feel to the hold experience. I know I would never pay any attention to timer calls and stats.. Game sit on the shelf first collecting dust like a couple of others I have, means nothing to me..

Looking for a LCPD vehicle pack
I understand, I have downloaded them including the diplomat (used one of those once.) In the game, uses a Hummer, Crown vick, and a Caprice. They all match in uniformed continuity . The vehicles are done in this manner because it is required for them to be able to tell what they are and were they belong to. unmarked units do not fallow the uniformed rule, so it doesn't matter. I am unable to change textures to any vehicles so they are matching in uniformed continuity like real police departments, Because the G-texture program returns a Z-buffer error and there is no support for this program. This is why I am looking for a complete Pack instead of just one car. Game starts and I have a bright blue caprice marked with one kind of decal set and the AI or online players who prefer the use of the Crown vick or show up with the hummer in another decal set that clashes. See what I am saying? Once again I do thank you for your help.

Looking for a LCPD vehicle pack
like many these are great looking cars. but what I am looking for is Uniformed continuity. For example, police departments have their patrol uniformed vehicles, if they have a caprice, a CVIP and a Hummer, then those three will always bare the same decals. This makes possible to recognize what city and state they are from. A lot of the cars I have seen it is usually one or the other. And what I am looking for it as marked for Liberty City. I downloaded one set, but the lights do not work, But I thank you.

Looking for a LCPD vehicle pack
Looking for a good LCPD vehicle pack that is consistent with the existing default game LCPD vehicles that is compatible for the LCPDFR mod.

Pay scale compatable with LCPDFR
I am thinking a pay rate per hour for single player mod. Because if you work in a shift and get off, you have no money to go out and do something.

LCPDFR mod not working...
UPDATE.... Mod rules, been in the game for hours, even added in Abraxa's towing mod, real nice emersion all together. Well done guys. I wish the "E" key could be re-mapped so it was closer, to my directional arrows, but how well the mod is working and game wise performance, that is just little stuff to be ignored, once again thank you..

LCPDFR mod not working...
The game still dose not respond, but still saves the start location offline mode. The diagnostic tool states that everything is working. Ingame in the upper left corner a message temporary pops up saying, script error in LCPDFR loader script. I re-named the xlive.dll and installed the dsound.dll and it still crashes at startup, says it can't write a log file. I set everything that is read-only and turned it off, but states the same. removed the dsound and rename the xlive has no bearing. The message popup up in the game ref to the script error is the same.. The diagnostic tools was test on the dsound.dll and it states everything is working too. So diagnostic tool wise, everything is in order no matter what file I used. I even deleted the first saves to start a fresh start, I know some games tend to save more information than just a player location. The results are the same. This is the config layout, Abraxa's Police HQ is not checked because I do not have it installed, can not find the mod any were. Just the police helper. So I figured it should not have any bearing on the LCPDFR mod.

LCPDFR mod not working...
Alt+P dose nothing... Win7SP1 32bit I bought the GTA IV DVD retail game, the game had to be patched because the social club server is off line. And so it was.. GTAIVPC_OfflineInstaller.exe (updates the SecuROM final install after activation), title_update_7_EN.exe (removes the social club. the server is no longer available for this), gfwlivesetup.exe (reinstate the WindowsLive program for GTAIV without the need of the social club), Without these files the game will never start. there is no getting around it. after all is said and done and installed, game works fine, onto the next thing, LCPDFR.. these things were installed, dotNetFx45_Full_setup.exe, vcredist_x86.exe ( I already have them from 5 through 13 installed), everything works fine. I installed 1. LCPD First Response 1.1 Installer.exe ( I have to use the xlive.dll because the , dsound.dll is rejected at game start up right away). The game starts, ingame there is a second pause, the runs fine, but alt+P dose nothing, but the game is running, and able to save in offline mode. I uninstall it and go by means of the 3. LCPD First Response 1.1 Manual Install. The results are the same, I uninstall and re-install with the 1. LCPD First Response 1.1 Installer.exe, the results are the same. I fallowed the manual install guide to make sure all is in order, and it is. Using the 3. LCPD First Response 1.1 Manual Install as a visual guide to see if all the files and folder were present and in order, and they are. No log are available, the game never crashed. The diagnostic tool states... "Failed to resolve d3dx9_43.dll from C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ScriptHookDotNet.asi" Popup up solution is "One or more components required to run ScriptHookDotNet are missing, Please check the logfile for details. There are no log file present, the trouble shooter shows everything is in order but this, it also says the ScriptHookDotNet.asi is valid. I am not sure what could be missing, I have placed a pic so you can see what is installed in my program list. I read the other trouble shooting guide, but nothing there is related to my current issue, and it states to make sure the hook files, are in place, and they are. ..
