I have installed various cars into the designated slots but after a while the cars start to take suffer from longer acceleration time and the turning is bad, makes the entire car turn as 1 piece and usually fishtails because of it. Is it the handling line or what?

Using a trainer put the weather on "Sunny - Windy". You'll see a few spots where cars won't go, or they turn around like in the screenshot -
