DiNatali got a reaction from LtSnoDawg69 in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersIt is the right of every computer user to obtain information before using a program. My questions, posted here, have the strong intention of extracting information from you to inform ALL users, from the most experienced to the most novice.
If you happened to feel offended by anything, it is unnecessary, as my intentions are good and collaborative. I am not doubting your work but merely requesting simple information, with no risk involved. It is important that doubts are answered so that we can learn and gain knowledge. This is how we all grow and develop.
Se você continuar a não explicar em termos simples, podemos terminar aqui. Agradecerei educadamente, mas você deixará um apoiador insatisfeito.

DiNatali got a reaction from LtSnoDawg69 in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersI'm sharing with you the results from the Hybrid Scan. Maybe it's a false positive. Why are so many resources flagged this way?

DiNatali got a reaction from LtSnoDawg69 in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersHello Ciano,
Thank you once again for your response. I'll try to be as direct as possible to avoid any confusion.
Currently, in the technological landscape, there are various problems with hacker attacks occurring, which reinforces the need for care with the protection of each operating system. A simple breach can generate a complete list of vulnerabilities, even if hidden.
To provide greater security and understanding to the users of LSPDFR, it would be beneficial to offer a detailed explanation of each file: how it works, what programming languages are used, possible false positives due to its behavior, and how to resolve any issues that arise. We don't want just the same old answers, but rather clear and transparent responses, similar to a medication leaflet.
My goal is to help, repeat, I am an enthusiast of this mod and appreciate it a lot, as well as respect the work of each team member. Do you understand now?

DiNatali got a reaction from LtSnoDawg69 in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersColleague, I am a fan of this LSPDFR mod. I posted this publication and tried to contact you via DM, but your responses did not address my questions.
The LSPDFR mod is globally recognized and used by players around the world. Due to the history with these possible false positives verified by the community, a more direct and informative explanation is ideal. What I want is just information, not robotic answers.
I kindly and respectfully request that you provide more enlightening details, please.
● To ensure a better understanding of the seriousness of the issue, I kindly request that you conduct your own test with the .exe file on the following site: [Hybrid Analysis] (https://hybrid-analysis.com/).
Thank you for the understanding of everyone who forms this beautiful team!

DiNatali got a reaction from LtSnoDawg69 in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersDear LCPDFR community members,
I am new to this community and, like everyone else, a great admirer of this beautiful and fun MOD. However, I would like to share some observations regarding the current version of LSPDFR .exe, dated February 25. I conducted several tests using sandboxing tools such as VirusTotal, File Scan, and Hybrid Analysis, among others. All tests indicated that the LSPDFR .exe file was identified as potentially malicious.
I believe it is important to provide clear information on these issues to ensure user satisfaction. I value the dedicated work of the developers and hope we can clarify these detections.
I would like to request a more detailed and explained response from those responsible.
Thank you for your attention, and I hope you have positively understood my concerns and those of thousands of players worldwide who enjoy this gameplay.

DiNatali reacted to Will in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersI'm not understanding what about Cyan's responses are not good enough? It seems like you want the entire source code of LSPDFR released to be satisfied, which simply isn't going to happen, at least not for a long while. And even then what would you hope to gain? You would need an in depth knowledge of programming to understand what any of the code does and no one has the time to sit here explaining every line to you.
The mod has over 18 million downloads, don't you think it would have been found out if it did anything malicious?

DiNatali reacted to Cyan in Indeed, Virus or not? Curiosity of all playersI gave you the answer. If there's something specific you need clarification on, let me know.
The fact you are asking for this shows your misunderstanding of the security landscape. AV software basically uses heuristics with a white list model. If you pay a stupid amount for a code signing certificate, your software is basically immune from AV checks. We don't pay for a code signing certificate. I've told you why we trigger heuristics, LSPDFR and RPH do things which are considered malicious (changing another process).
LSPDFR has only some files inside that can trigger AV detections (DLL, EXE). I'm not going to tell you what every single one of them does, but a great partition of them are open source, so you can research them yourselves. LSPDFR and some of its dependencies are closed source software, like the Windows operating system you run and most of your software, so you have to have some trust, just like you do in other closed source software, that it isn't malicious.
On hybrid-analysis; The malicious detection is garbage by the way, as you'd be able to note with a very cursory look: it's actually highlighting the setup loading our configuration tool.
As I said, if you have a specific concern that isn't me trying to make you understand how software or security works in general, I'm happy to entertain it. If you are wanting me to explain every file inside the download, it isn't going to happen as it's a waste of time. If you have a specific concern about something that LSPDFR or RPH does, that isn't just copy pasted from something like hybrid-analysis, please do let me know, otherwise this will be my last reply on the matter.

DiNatali reacted to beandotmp3 in Trojan found when launching RPHLatest version of RPH is a false positive. Windows thinks RPH is a virus, and so the "detections" are preventing RPH from running. You need to go into Windows Security > Virus And Threat Protection > Real Time Protection > Off
Once that is done, launch RPH and it should work fine (and if you are really paranoid, turn back on Real Time Protection after RPH has hooked onto the GTA 5 instance)
