  1. I'm still looking at fixing it. Not sure how much I can fix it but I'll let you know.
  2. New version of the CVPI released. Although not much interest went into it, I decided to go ahead and release the same CVPI model with the 2009-style hubcaps. I just uploaded it so give it some time to be approved. Hope everyone enjoys the vehicle.
  3. Beautiful! If only that skin could be available for the CVPI.
  4. Double check your textures in Zmodeler. Looks like something went wrong either importing the vehicle or the part itself.
  5. As a Ford fan myself, that truck is all sorts of messed up. It has a 2004-2008 front end with a 2009-current rear end. Granted, it looks okay for what it is, but it's not right.
  6. Sounds good dude, you always seem to release great quality sirens.
  7. Hey all, I figured since I've started doing stuff with models for the game, I'd post about the work I'm doing. Bear with me, I'm new to Zmodeler and whatnot, so it might take a while to become very proficient with everything. Currently I've completed a unique version of Schaefft's Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, based off the publicly released and unlocked version of BxBug123's CVPI 4.2 model. After struggling with textures and learning how to mirror items correctly, I was able to accomplish giving the model have a true dual exhaust, as the real CV does. Also included is a more realistic headlight setup. On the real CV, both parking lights are on, along with the headlight. The only way to achieve this look before was using the Indicator Mod, and by doing that you end up having the amber light reflection on the ground on all four corners of the vehicle. This modification simply ties the indicator lights in with the headlights, so when the headlights are on, so are the parking lights. Both of these modifications are just a simple way to add more realism to the car and the game. The model can be found here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> If there is enough interest, I will do a model with the 2009 style hub caps. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Other works in progress: E-109 Contender Police truck (so far just a rambar, vanilla computer and radio, and 2008 Tahoe wheels... need a template for skins) Modified Landstalker Police SUV [the unlocked model in the downloads section] (Whelen Liberty up front with rear lights removed, Tomar traffic adviser in rear) The issue I personally have with this Landstalker is that it's too high off the ground, too big for the rest of the vehicles in the game. That's the way it came, someone modified the suspension. So I may end up starting this over with a fresh civilian version and build it up. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I will try to keep this thread updated with new projects, releases, and works in progress.
  8. Here are the closest near me: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Town of Leesburg Police Town of Purcellville Police Fairfax County Police Town of Herndon Police Arlington County Police City of Alexandria Police Metropolitan Police District of Columbia And my favorite, Metro Transit Police
  9. Small world, I live in the area as well... more towards the Loudoun side.
  10. I'm currently trying to install the Tomar traffic adviser on a vehicle I'm modding, and when you open it in Zmodeler, it's facing forward. Every time I try to flip it around, the textures are messed up and the "extras" are all out of place. How do you turn the traffic adviser around and not have to realign the extras?
  11. Your work is the biggest reason why I am going back to the vanilla cars for the game, with the exception of the CVPI for my player's use. That, and the game runs so much smoother without all these high poly vehicles. Your cars look very high quality, and that makes a huge difference in my decision. Where can I find THAT particular Landstalker model? It's lower to the ground and has nicer wheels than the standard model.
  12. The VSP logos on the side are too low and a few inches too far back.
  13. Did you make the HPD skins? The one on the left, black and white, would be awesome as a Liberty City theme.
  14. Which is what I am looking for. I can't find a template for this vehicle, and I dunno how to make one either.
  15. I searched but couldn't really find an answer to this. Since I can't find an unlocked Ford F-150, Explorer, or other Ford truck/SUV, I want to modify the vanilla E-109 Contender into a police truck. However, I can't find a template or skin to go with it. Can anyone make a template, or find a skin for this truck?
  16. The front half is a 2004-2002, the rear half is from a 2009-current. Needs to be fixed.
  17. The hyperyelp is a little "static-y" but otherwise this sounds great!
  18. Done. Finished product... Normal CVPI on right, modified headlights on the left Normal CVPI with Indicator Script on right, modified headlights on left Normal CVPI with Indicator script on left, modified on right (notice the tail lights aren't affected by the headlight modification) Modified CVPI on left, notice the corner strobes still work perfectly All I did was use Zmodeler, attach the "indicator" to the "headlight", then moved the modified headlights back to the proper section. However, you still have the keep the parent "indicator" checkbox in the proper hierarchy, if you remove the indicators completely it will cause the game to RC20. Keep in mind, the indicator lights will not turn on or off now, so if you wanted to have the parking lights on and headlights off, you won't be able to. The parking lamps and headlights turn on and off together. If the headlights are off, the front indicators will not light up if the Script is used, because that particular layer was removed due to both the headlight layer and indicator layers conflicting with each other, but the tail lights will still work as indicators. Sorry for the confusing explanation. In my opinion it looks that much more realistic than just headlights being on, as we are all accustomed to in this game. If anyone wants me to do a more in-depth tutorial on how to do this, just let me know.
  19. Hmm... I'm going to see what I can do about trying to integrate the front indicator lighting with the headlights.
  20. I have been wanting to replicate the parking lights on the CVPI as they are on the real car at night. Came across the Indicator Script and it's great, works very well. However, I noticed that now the indicator lights are always on, the amber reflection on the ground is also present. I want to get rid of just the reflection of the indicator lights on the road or ground, but not affect any of the other brake light or head light reflections. Any ideas?
  21. I've been getting this error related to the game crashing lately, I dunno what's going on with it. System.Core.ni.dll I've done some searching but no one has reported this in GTA4.
  22. Thanks dude. I think I might have solved my problem. What I did was take the major parts of the vehicle that had the emergency lights, which included the frame (with the rambar), the front doors, the trunk and a couple of other parts, pulled them from the host car that I've been having problems with. I then opened the unlocked CVPI by Bugs, replaced those parts with the ones from the host car, re-added the correct textures and tried it in-game. Hasn't crashed yet. So, it has something to do with how Boatinman set up his CVPI. I am now running a full slicktop with existing emergency equipment with no problems. Now I just need to figure out how to add a Whelen Avenger, put it in the windshield and call it a day.
  23. But what though? That's what I'm confused about. I can remove everything I need to except the lightbar glass. It isn't tied in or attached to anything, its sitting there dormant by itself. Once you mess with it in any way, even just removing a single polygon from it, the game crashes on spawn.
  24. No dice. Tried just removing the glass only, then removed the glass and lightbar using the same method. For the hell of it, I removed the lightbar completely and all ELS extras, just to see if it still might be related to the lighting. It still crashed. So again, it has something to do with the damn lightbar glass. Once you mess with it, the car will cause the game to crash. I don't get it.
