  1. NVE.asi appears to be outdated. When removing the file from GTAv main directory, the game loads fine. After checking on Natural vision website, download for GTAV is no longer available, with a message that reads "NVE needs to be updated for the latest version. Please check back in early July for update" Just letting people know because I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how other people were managing to run the game and I wasn't.
  2. I'm not experience enough to know if any mods I'm using are relying on the ASI loader, but removing the dinput8.dll file is the only way I can get the game to run. Though it runs without mods EDIT* Yea, it seems like some mods are working but mods like ELS etc aren't So is GTAV failing to run because of a faulty dinput8 file packed with the latest scripthook?
  3. Thanks for the info. Should I delete this topic? I'd hate to cause problems for anyone else? I'm confused though, as my mods including NVE appear to be functioning normally I did have to open OPENIV though and in Tools > asi manager, click Update on the ASI plugin
  4. Not sure if I've messed up somewhere along the line, but the install instructions for the new Scripthook were : Installation: 1. Copy ScriptHookV.dll to the game's main folder, i.e. where GTA5.exe is located. 2. In order to load asi plugins you need to have asi loader installed, you can download it separately or use the latest version that comes with this distrib (dinput8.dll). You must delete old dsound.dll asiloader if you have one installed. 3. This distrib also includes a sample asi plugin - native trainer, if you need a trainer then copy NativeTrainer.asi as well. After completing these steps, the game wouldn't load so I grabbed the dinput.dll file from the address I posted and now it's running. Apologies if I've given some incorrect advice but it appears to be working for me at the moment
  5. It seems like for me and some others, this is being caused by the dinput8.dll file. Try testing it by removing the file from the GTAV directory and see if it launches If it does, then try going to https://www.dll-files.com/dinput8.dll.html Download the most recent dinput8.dll file and add it to the gtaV directory
  6. I have been having the same problem for days and finally found the way to install it. I came across this youtube guide and unlike all the others, this one actually works
