  1. It matters to me for 3 reasons 1. I have never seen anything likes this in SP or MP 2. Im amused by simple things & always have been 3. Im intrested in things others arent. So even if it is a glitch, I enjoyed it at the time. Honestly I was expecting this thread to die
  2. Glad to see its resolved :)
  3. Like this.. steam://rungameid/<id> -- Same as run, but with support for mods and non-Steam shortcuts. Source: Steam Browser Protocols How to properly use it with a nonsteam game Im not familiar with, never used it with non-steam games. But most of the items in the link I have used P.S. In steam library, top left next to 'search' it should have 'View All Games' or 'Installed' 'Recently Played' etc etc
  4. Valdivostok, LCHC, Liberty Rock Radio, Independence FM(80's music), VCFM (Vice City FM) thats about it from me
  5. Make your steam is set to show all games, not just installed/uninstalled. When I add non-steam games, and I have it set up for 'Installed' games only. Sometimes Non-Steam doesnt show up untill I run it once via steam (By not showing up I mean on 'installed' list)
  6. The ALT part might have been programed into the script it self some of the scripts I use have HAZARD = CONTROL , H for example 077 would be 77 windows I believe has 000 for keys

I started messaging Iconography in PM's due to people were putting my rep down & Iconography was intrested in it
  8. Thats the exact same version I use for simple fuel mod (1.5) Thats the GKFuelMod.. Sadly it seems no one is interested in making fuel mods anymore... Im gonna have to find someone who will be willing to take a request I guess.
  9. Revert back to the original cars?
  10. I currently know of only 2 fuel mods for GTA IV. Im curious if any of you know of any others? 1. Simple Fuel Mod 2. GKFuelScript I like GKFuelScript but Its to bloated for me, Simple Fuel Mod seems to be discontinued (Just emailed the creator to see if it is or if I could get ahold of the sourcecode) Simple fuel mod has had me intrested for a long time and has been reliable for me. Im just curious if any one knows of any other fuel mods?
  11. +1 thanks for the info Ill be sure to try the mentioned methods out
  12. Just a simple test file just trying to figure out the best way to get something into memory for IV without scripting specifically for IV. (I love to mess around for no apparent reason) Its pretty much how I learn.
  13. Doing that had it loaded.. but returned an address of 0x00000 and crashed IV. When I inject it with a debugger it works properly. So im assuming it has something to do with asi trying to be loaded specificly for IV... *edit* This doesnt need to turn into a support topic. I was just curious what methods other people used to inject files
  14. Its a DLL file I could load it with a debugger, but I find that messy because I have to leave the debugging application loaded in memory if I close it it will close the game.. I tried just dropping it into the main directory but it wasnt loaded into memory, because its not created specifically for GTA IV. I was just curious what type of methods other people use.
  15. Whats your opinions on the best way to inject a file so that it loads into GTA IV memory? I have tons of debugging software that can do the job but thats a tad messy imo
  16. Well a sync issue I wouldnt think of due to very few players and I have played in games with around 10-16 players and never had any issues (minor lag from us be in diffrent countries) but no missing parts from cars. Could you explain a little more? AFAIK no one was using ELS or modded cars or we would have crashed/lagged out
  17. Well hopefully it would work with him as well. Registry incompatibilities? I doubt, I move files around all the time and never have issues. now if you install a game into F:\Games and then move it to C:\Games you would have issues starting it due to windows thinking its in F:\Games but simply replacing a file will not hurt anything (but I would suggest keeping the original files in a backup folder)
  18. For the record my cousin had this EXACT issue.. I figured out a fix for him, but im not sure if its considered piracy or not. I bought him a legit copy from walmart of GTA IV, his retail version for somereason (patch 1.0.7.0) could not play with mods period. I sent him my gtaiv.exe and gtaivlauncher.exe and he could begin playing with mods they started working. If your using a retail copy see if you can either buy a digital copy or get a friend to send you his 2 exe files? Im pretty sure this is gonna get -1 or more He and I just figured out the fix just the other day when I was playing around with his GTA IV copy
  19. Actually above the backtires & around the rear of the vehicle and no the cars will explode if they take to much heavy damage e.g. crashing repeatedly and the engine is still running (will catch on fire and then spread to the back and explode) or if you shoot it like Interference said Afaik it has no way to stop the exploding cars Excluding driving over a fire hydrant will put the fire out

Thanks! also about me mentioning street racers that would be amazing and provide even more need to use roadblocks I would love to chase 2 to 8 racers at once in the open world of GTA

Yeah the PIT part had me confused I guess no one noticed the "(Good feature to have)" part of the post due to the -1... :whistling:
  22. Revan replied to Tomoya's topic in Discussion
I didnt say anything about it not ever having to be added I was just stating how I felt about roadblocks, Now if it could be scripted so that the AI driver would do an immediate U-turn or turn roads ASAP if he sees the roadblock that would make it more interesting. You could easily intimidate the AI driver to take an alternate course if you can get an Idea were he is headed. As related to PIT stopping only 1 car.. Thats all you really chase in LCPDFR unless its planning to add more runners? (E.G. Street racers)
  23. Revan replied to Tomoya's topic in Discussion
I think its unneeded personally? (Good feature to have) But the way I think about it is, the AI arnt the player hence they have horrible driving skills.. Ever just stand on the side walk and just wait, eventually you will have a backed up line of cars honking their horns and trying to drive around each other due to an idiot who decided to do a u-turn and crashed into a tree and died or something.. It would be fun to play with imho but would be unnecessary just because the AI cant drive worth crap. just a simple PIT maneuver will render them undrivable 3/4th the time. because they backup drive forward backup repeat process. this gives you enough time to get out and throw them on the ground and arrest them
  24. Thanks! Ill look for them later today Gonna hijack my topic again xD 1. Can anyone give me some tips on how to code for IV? Basically were to start. (Have had previous experience with C++ and I learn quick with examples, I love CS scripts that i find around the web for IV) 2. Whats the best language for IV?
  25. Well its sad for me because... Well honestly I know Liberty City, San Andreas, Vice City, All of halo series (excluding Reach), most if not all C&C RedAlert 95 maps.. 3/4ths of Fallout 3 map... Steam I use to manage 100-200hours on school weeks LOL.. (no life.. not joking) XD
