So, I decided to play GTA the other day and it worked fine. Didn't add anything new or change anything, but I played it again later, the trainer stopped working and just froze and cars did not spawn. Peds still spawn and the car sounds are still there. Even the occasionaly Siren is still heard in the background. Nowhere are the cars found. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Thanks, It helped SO Much. But its still there. I was able to run it on high setting with NO lag before the restore. Anything else I can do? Ok, Can I throw this in with my existing commandline. All it is is -windowed

I decreased and made it to where PC runs for performance. Still nothing.

Ill try that and what is the reccomended Vehicle density and all those slider bar options. I know that there is preferred numbers from when I used to play this all the time and I forgot what it was. Thanks!

So, I had to reinstall my GTA after restoring PC. I have had this problem before and had my friend fix it for me. Unfortunately he passed away a few months ago in a car accident and now have no one to assist me with my gta. He was my go to guy for gta (RIP Rob) But the lag is that it kind of resets me when driving or moving fast. Any help is appreciate much, Thanks!

So put all of the files in GTA Directory and then run the .exe Correct?

I dont have a compatability tab (Windows 8) but I just right click and run as admin.

Now when I go to Run LaunchGTAIV as an administrator, the CMD pops up then disappears about 5 seconds later and nothing more after that. lol. sorry for all the problems

Nope, legitimate copy purchased on digital library of BEstBuy.com (I used to play all the time with no errors and I stopped for like 3 months, restored PC yesterday morning and this came up last night when I re-installed)

Below I have posted a screenshot of the error I am receiving. Freshly reinstalled GTA IV today and put everything in needed. When I first go to Run GTA IV Application as an Admin, the CMD appears and the error occurs. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!
