Els is the main driver and technically does not require the included Carcols file to operate properly but the environmental lighting will be incorrect as intended without. Non-ELS siren ENV settings
Hello all! Finally bit the bullet and figured out this whole non-Els craze and lemme tell you wow…. Game changer lol. Well I’ve been using a new system that I came up with (im sure it’s been done and whatever else idk) where I group the sirens into extras that toggle via ELS giving it stages (because I’m way too lazy to figure out DLS and I’ve been using Els for like idk what almost 7 years now?) Anyway to cut to the chase I’m having a couple issues; mainly the siren’s ENV lighting is shining through the vehicle mesh into the passenger compartment for the sirens on the LB. Now I’ve edited the Outer cone angle and this can reduce/remove completely the in-cab env issue however then they are just little tiny spots of light and that’s lame. So I wanted to see what setting or hierarchy situation’s gotta go down to stop that from happening. Secondly, I have SSLA installed, and one of my builds (San Luis Obispo County Sheriff 2019 Tahoe PPV) has <20 sirens, I can edit up to 32 in LiveLights, and save the carcols.meta for it and that’s all good but when it’s installed in game the sirens <20 don’t show up. They show up and work fine if I import the particular .meta via LiveLights they just don’t engage naturally. So wanted to see what was up with that as well. Thank you all! Cheers, CCM805

Final update for this topic before it gets closed, there was a discrepancy in my Vehicles.Meta file. Not sure why it seemed like the ELS.ASI was causing the problems but it is all good now.

Update: removed mods folder but retained ELS.ASI and all ELS VFC’s worked fine, all VFCs loaded no crash or issue in log. So adding Mod folder back in and launching, so at this point seems like it has nothing to do with the ELS.ASI and everything to do with the mods folder. So I’ll go through on my own and re install my vehicles, handling etc. thank you for all your help!

@UnknownBastion Looks to me like the Els log hasn’t been updated since 11/22/23 which was the last day that it actually ran. Also this is without any VFC’s and it actually did crash without the ELS.ASI. Checked asi loader and scripthook log everything was loading as it should ELS.log

Hey Y’all thanks it took me a while to get back, been out of town with work for the past couple days. There is no crash message when the game crashes, as well as when running RPH the crash report doesn’t specify anything indicating an issue so not sure. Find attached the ASI log, ELS log and ScripthookV log. Thank you! ELS.log asiloader.log ScriptHookV.log

ELS.asi Crashing game on start up
Hello all, having an issue as of today (11/22/2023) where the game is taking a massive sh*t. Worked fine two days ago, then all of a sudden today won’t load. I’ve reinstalled the entire game, runs fine, okay, added all mods back in (custom veh’s, visualV, simple trainer etc and the obligatory script hook etc.) runs fine. BUT, as soon as the ELS.asi is in the main game directory, it just won’t get past the main menu without crashing. I’ve spent hours on this so far, tried it all. Removed ALL vfc’s, still crashed. Updated ASI loader(s) in OpenIV, installed fresh ELS files including fresh ELS.asi. Still crashes. So I’m at a loss here and not sure where to go hopefully one of y’all has had and solved this issue. I have just installed RagePlugin hook as I am writing this so we will see if it works or crashes or at very least generates a crash report.

D-side front wheel acting like it has no suspension
Hey all, having an issue where some of my models are sagging on the front drivers side not sure why. Checked collisions and LOD’s as well as wheel mesh and should all be okay, wondering if it has to do with the handling line im using but it seems to be occurring across two separate models. Will try messing with it some more later but am currently AFK and wanted to see if anyone had had a fix to this issue (using zmodeler or if it has to do with handling line). If I can’t get it fixed by tomorrow I’ll post a pic of what I’m exactly talking aboot. Thanks! update: it must be with the handling line in vehicles.meta since after updating the vehicle handling package, this is the result on a unit that was previously fine. This one is using the Fugitive handling line just like the unit next to it (marked is sheriff, unmarked is Police4) (see attached for clear issue)
