  1. I have several vehicles that do not have a TA bar in the lighting package, and so the secl in my VCF for these cars is set to leds instead of traf. There are patterns that function as a TA with this option, but in order for them to work, LSTG3 must be enabled. Anything less, and all of the necessary lights do not activate. My question is this. Is there a way to assign a keystroke or keycombo to change to a specific lighting pattern upon pressing it, and return to its original pattern when pressed again (a toggle)? With this kind of setup, if I am responding to a call Code 3, I need one pattern active in LSTG3, but if on a traffic stop, to get the TA effect, I need another pattern, still in LSTG3...preferably without having to cycle through every available lighting pattern via the UI every time. Using the OutofVehicle option in the VCF to force a pattern somewhat helps, however it only works if you're not in the vehicle...it will revert back upon entering the vehicle (not ideal for realism purposes if I just got back in the car on a traffic stop to run information, but haven't completed it).
  2. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who is having this issue. Guess I will try getting it to work with Siren Mastery until something works out here! Edit: So I've figured a few things out, to help others. For the moment, you can install SirenMastery to cover your sirens. Go into your ELS VCF's and make sure everything in the SOUNDS section is set to AllowUse "false". In your generalconfig for SirenMastery make sure the options related to ELS vehicles is set to false as well (the name string is escaping me). All of the sirens have been renamed by R* in resident.rpf. You can add up to 10 tones (9 sirens plus air horn). Here are all the new siren names: AIRHORN_EQD SIREN_PA20A_WAIL SIREN_2 POLICE_WARNING SIREN_WAIL_01 SIREN_WAIL_02 SIREN_WAIL_03 SIREN_WAIL_04 SIREN_QUICK_01 SIREN_QUICK_02 SIREN_QUICK_03 SIREN_QUICK_04 AMBULANCE_WARNING (All .wav files) Find the siren you want and rename the hash to one of these. Note...there are more sirens than these, such as some miscellaneous fire ones. I may post them eventually if no one else does first. Once they’re all ready, use OpenIV to export your vehicles.awc to <gamefolder>/plugins/SirenMastery. Don’t bother putting anything in the CustomSirens directory, it won’t work. Place your edited wav files into the vehicles folder that OpenIV exported into SirenMastery. Edit your keybindings as necessary and load the plugin when you’re in game 🙂 feel free to message me if you have a specific issue. Good luck!
  3. I had a thought and wanted to present it to an ELS dev or basically anyone that could answer whether it's possible or not. I know little about coding, but would it be possible to modify ELS (or create another mod to work in conjunction with it) so that you could activate only the front lighting or only the rear lighting patterns of a light bar? This is seen commonly IRL, but I don't know what the limitations of doing it with this are. Thanks in advance!
  4. Yes, a functional API!! Thanks Sam, LMS, Alexander Blade, and other contributors!
  5. This is quite possibly the best trolling thread I have read in awhile. Props to the management team for keeping it 57 pages strong and going. Hahaha. Can't wait for 6 CST.
