  1. This video is so old, all the cops are retired, and the reporter died of old age.
  2. This has been multiple teachers and law enforcement officers and professionals. Never take pictures of your work (Usually only police and ems related) , if you do, make sure it never sees the light of day. Specially make sure it never ends up online. You may lose your career for violation of department policy, state policy, and sometimes state laws. This is what I've been told by multiple officers, teachers, and law enforcement professionals. Unless they all pulled together and pulled this out of their as, i'm going to go head and believe them.
  3. Sure 15 is over doing it, but usually (In most states) police officers can not take pictures of people, accidents, and ect.. Then post it online. Its usually a department policy, that most departments have. Because those pictures can be tampered with. Its to protect the officer, and if that picture ever gets online when the person didn't want it to be, the officer can be sued. Yes license plates are for the public to see, but for some reason when you take a picture and then upload it online, it becomes a issue. I'm just passing along what I've been told in school, and training.
  4. In the US there is. I didn't realize you worked in Canada. But let me explain how this work...... In the US, if a cop takes pictures of anything at work like a accident and uploads it online, his ass is grass. He will be sued out of everything he owes. Specially that one picture you have where you can clearly make out the license plate. Yes its a public thing that everyone can see, but for what ever reason as soon as you upload it online, it becomes a problem. But since you're a tow truck driver, you don't have to worry about that lol.
  5. I really hope you're not a cop. Because you just broke about 15 different privacy laws.. (Well at least in the US) I don't have any pictures of me at my job, because of privacy issues and department policy, but there is a news article of a accident I work on. http://fox6now.com/2014/07/10/traffic-alert-two-right-lanes-on-southbound-us-4145-closed-near-main-street-due-to-accident/ Wear your seat belts kids, he was ejected from the vehicle when it flipped over multiple times. There was a pool of blood in a creek where all that brush is, the creek was red with his blood.
  6. Honestly I hate almost all modern day police shows and movies. Besides end of watch. They are all inaccurate, and show just corrupted cops such as Southland just shows bunch of corrupted cops running around. Most accurate shows following cops are from the 1970s-1980s and those are: Adam-12 and Streets of San Francisco
  7. No it doesnt effect my grades even though I don't play video games anymore. From going to school, and working I just don't have time.
  8. No, no, no, no. That would be sexual harassment, if not assault. If they did make this law which I can see in no way that it would ever get passed it will be taken to court soon and the State of NewYork is going to have to pay some pretty big change. I can't believe anyone would believe this to be honest...
  9. police 1013 probably isn't ever going to happen. If you look at the post a few days back you'll see why.
  10. You obviously didn't get my joke. When people in china say bad things they vanish. Where they go? No one knows.
  11. The US doesn't have any more corruption then any other country. We have the biggest media outlet in the world, don't you think it'll be reported just a tad bit more then any other country? We also have the biggest law enforcement program in the world. I always love seeing that because that is taking by a PUBLIC survey. So if any of those people got a ticket or arrested or yelled at they would of put No i'm not happy with our police department. In service and getting the job done I don't think you can compare different police departments because well each country does it in a different way. Why would you compare the US departments to Iceland departments where they just had there first police related shooting in over 100 years. Its going to be different can't trust the survey because different departments, different laws, different procedures. I'm sure if you put this survey in North Korea or China everyone will be saying yes. To answer your question yes and no.All depends on the ground of people you're dealing with. If you're asking gang banger chances are they will say no...
  12. Please. Stop. Doesn't matter what type of weapon you have unless you know how to use it. Nearly all fire fights involving police officers were with in 7 feet, could have a machine gun doesn't mean your going to be assessing the threat anymore quicker then a officer with his side arm. Second cops don't use m4's they use AR-15s they're very different guns. You need a special permit in almost every (or every) US state to legally own a rapid fire weapon (burst or full auto.) 99.99% of rifles you see in licensed gun stores are simi automatic only. Let me say this again, cops use AR-15s (m4a1 is a military issued rifle) and the public doesn't have legal access to fully automatic weapons unless they have a special permit.(which is pretty hard to get)
  13. Didn't you know this is LCPDR can't have opinions with out the community coming and biting you in the ass.
  14. Okay.... Who cares what other people think? if you let these "cop haters" get to you, have a fun career in anything but police work, because if you let it get to you don't become a cop. Second Cops don't shoot to kill, they shoot to stop the threat, when someone was shot 9 times that's because it probably took 9 times for them to stop moving and reaching for their gun. This isn't the movies, one bullet doesn't stop someone, unless its right between the eyes, usually takes more then a couple to stop someone specially if there on some drug. If you ever want to have a successful carrier in law enforcement, can't let this stuff get to you, because if you say one stupid thing your entire carrier is over, you only have one chance to be a cop. If you get fired you're never going to be hired again. Keep this in mind, a owner of a basket ball team got banned for like, lost his team, and fined over a million dollars, for saying something stupid. Just imagaing what will happen to you if you say something stupid as a cop.
  15. Considering this is pre alpha I think so....
  16. How do i update because i'm not able to.
  17. No never eat sometimes I drink but its rarely. Sorry don't like food and stuff in my keyboard lol. But what I am saying is some people take this "simulator" way to serious and think that is what actual police work is like. From my years at this community that is what I have seen, there are few that know what actual police work is like, but some think its all about arresting and chasing. Here is what it breaks down to: % of police work 65% of Police work is responding to calls of service and traffic stops 30% of police work is report writing and policy reading 4% is going to actual calls that result in a arrest such as burglary, vehicle theft, stuff like that 1% is serious offenses such as shootings, murders, armed robbery's, vehicle chases. Obviously this various from department, to department like if you do some Town way up north compared to LA, LA will be a little different. But most of us will work in a moderate department where this is the deal.
