Who would like the Cop Helicopter to NOT shoot at suspects?
The reason I was asking is I was working on a realism mod and came across the files that control what police helicopters are loaded with. Saw the Carbine rifle setting (on the choppers loadout) with infinite ammo and decide to see if I removed that or changed it to 3 rounds. It works great. This would only modify single player and LCPDFR experiences, not multi-play of course. Any one interested or is this something that has already been done?

Okay, let me change the question, Would you like NOOSE choppers to fire on suspects? I think even NOOSE doing it is far from realistic. Not that they do it, but the amount they fire and where they fire at.

Are you sure? Anytime I've gotten 3 stars they have fired at me and when playing LSPDFR I have had the choppers shoot at vehicles I was after in a pursuit. This was about a month ago.

Pretty sure I figured out how to make the helo do everything it normally does except fire on suspects. There are 2 things I can do: 1) Take away cop helo ability to use a weapon on suspects from the air OR 2) Give helo cops a weapon, but limit the amount of ammo to 3 or 5 shots. Please give me your thoughts, if no one seems interested I wont bother, but one thing that always bothered me about role playing was a helicopter cop would rarely fire on a suspect. I have seen maybe one or two cases where a sniper fired on a suspect from a chopper, but that was one shot, not multiple shots onto a moving vehicle during midday traffic. UPDATE: This is referring to NOOSE called backup, not simple police choppers.

IMPORTANT QUESTION I noticed in the car variations file you provide that police and POLICE3 are referenced, BUT you provide police and POLICE2 Is that a mistake? Should this replace police and police2 and be referenced as POLICE2 not POLICE 3 in the car variations file? OR should you replace police and POLICE3 car models and car textures and leave car variations alone?

The non-steel wheel model download is broke. It says 10 megs, but when it downloads it only downloads about 3 megs. File ONLY contains the police.ytd THe steel wheel version seems fine.

Retired Cop, want to make Callouts, but...
I've made countless mods for many other games over the years (Including GTA San Andreas, GTA III, , Vice City) but I've never dipped too deep into the scripting used in GTA V. I want to make callouts based on things I experienced as a police officer (Retired in 2001 due to injury). Where is the BEST places to learn how to make a callout plugin to use with LSPDfr? I need to know how to compile the dll, how to link it with Rage Hook and LSPDfr and basically what commands I can use and so forth. (For Example, if I want to make some callouts to have armed robbery at Ammunation/Convenience Stores/Barber Shop, etc that I can pull up on scene, suspect can either shoot cashier, take hostages, run, attack responding officers, surrender. I want the suspects to react to sirens (code 3) and be able to sneak up using code 2. Basically, if you had never made any scripts for GTA V, but you weren't a complete idiot when it comes to PC's and programming, how would I start? All I really care to make at the moment is realistic callouts and tie it into LSPDFR. If a menu is necessary, then that too, but as we are already running out of keys I would like to tie my callouts to native menu in LSPDFR or to some other popular add-on for LSPDFR like Arrest Manager or something. I've never programmed in C, C+, C# I understand the concepts of Visual Basic some. Thanks for anyone providing help.

Does setting the DLL to load in RageHook app work or do I have to manually load this AFTER the game and LSPDfr has loaded? Reason I ask is in Rage Hook it shows Breathalyzer above LSPDFR in the plugin list and I'm worried that it might load first before LSPDFR and cause a conflict?

Does this replace the Speed Checker mod? I noticed the same key controls as the speed checker ini. If I had speed checked installed prior to this, do I uninstall the speedchecker.dll and ini first? I'm assuming they might conflict.

Greenville County Sheriff's Office Pack v2
Well, it's been a few years, so maybe things have changed. I worked for a security company that provided ATM services (Withdrew deposits from ATM's and carried monies to deposit bank) and the division I worked in provided nighttime school security for the county. I would respond to silent alarms from schools at night, carried firearm, baton, made arrests of suspects, held suspects for transport to jail, went to trial in the cases and we basically had all the powers of regular law enforcement while on any of the 120+ school properties in Greenville County (I was SLED certified to carry). However, we were only allowed by law, (at the time) to use Green and white or Yellow and white lights on our vehicles. We were allowed to go over posted speed limits when on calls to silent alarms at the schools, and to respond to fire alarms (We had to get there before the fire department at night to open the locked gates so their trucks could get in). At the time when I took my SLED certification I was talking to a SLED agent who told me that the reason we weren't allowed to use red/blue was because only fully authorized government agencies were allowed to use Blue (police). Any private company was not allowed. Again, this was some 15+ years ago, so maybe things have changed since then? I was responding to a fire alarm once, doing about 75 mph and had a highway patrol vehicle lit me up. I called dispatch, they contacted the officer, and he got in front of me and blue lighted (escorted) me the rest of the way to the fire in progress. When we got there he said he thought not allowing us red/blue was stupid because they had not been told that we were authorized to violate traffic laws for alarm calls. As far as the state troopers knew, green and white didn't mean anything to them.

Stupid Question: Are the lights on the top supposed to be RED or yellow? For some reason this mod forces Radiance 1.6 but without all the options of a normal Radiance install. Anyway, my lights on the lightbar seem like blue and yellow rather than blue and red??

Question: I install LSPDFR with the manual install. I extracted everything with correct folders from the archive into the GTAV folder, which places everything where it should (Using latest LSPDfr as of 3-30-2016 Whenever I run your troubleshooter it always says I have to create a LSPDFR folder within the gtav/plugins folder. My question is WHY? When I installed LSPDfr it doesn't do this, and doesn't have any files to put there. Why does this troubleshooter always ask me to make that extra folder? 99% of mods for LSPDFR are set-up to extract into the proper folders so I dont see why this is showing up as an error?

I can't wait until you do cruisers (Ford Interceptor etc). Please use a model or include a way to use blue and white lights. All SC police use Blue and White. Red and Blue are for very specific agencies in SC. Usually only Public Safety units use blue and red. A Public Safety unit is considered to be a police officer AND a fireman AND a paramedic all in one job role. I think there only 2 or three Public Safety departments in SC. Fire Departments Use: Red and White (and volunteer firemen) Rescue (Ambulances) Use: Red, Orange and White. Sanctioned Security departments (That are allowed to carry and use lethal force) use: Green and White Non-Sanctioned Security Agencies Use: Yellow and White. Tow Trucks or other non emergency vehicles use: Yellow and White
