Another crash at startup
Hi All, trying to get back into LSPDFR after about a year and of course I'm running into trouble. I've updated LSPDFR (0.4.9 8757), along with LML (0412) and RAGEPluginHook (1.107.14334.16527), and it appears that LML is having some issues. I'm unable to even launch Vanilla GTA unless I remove the VFS.DLL file. I've verified the game files through Steam, updated the RAGENativeUI (1.9.2) and ScripthookV (1.0.2845.0). Another thread suggested renaming the dinput8.dll, which I did, but that didn't help. I have no MODS folder, and I currently have all of the LML entries disabled. No other mods/addons are present. For what it's worth, I've attached the log file. If anyone can suggest some other troubleshooting ideas that would be awesome! thanks in advance vfs.log

Script and Plugin Requirements
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the insight ;)! I knew that LML still required an update, but I recently had to reinstall Windows so I'm going through the process of setting up GTA & LSPDFR, and figured this would be a good opportunity to start clean with a minimum of "addons". I've made good use of LML for loading vehicles - so much better than messing with the mods folder - and I'm definitely going to try using it for some of the other mods I typically use. A big thanks to all the developers and testers that help in bringing we players the cars, callouts, scripts and other tools that make LSPDFR such a blast to play!

Script and Plugin Requirements
Does anyone happen to know which scripts and/or plugins require Scripthook V? Specifically I’m curious about LML and the Bejoljo plugins. Albo’s SirenMastery would be the only other plugin I use, and there’s a dll for that. Is it required when using the “mods” folder - I’m just replacing textures generally? How about callouts? That likely varies by pack. If anyone happens to have some info it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Non-ELS Environmental Lighting
Hi there So I've got an issue with some vehicles where the environmental effects don't match the lights. In this case, the lights (coronas) flash, but the environmental effect stays steady. What's even stranger is that out of the 6 flashing lights on the car, only 4 have this problem. The other two work as expected. I've looked at the siren settings in the carcols, and I can't spot anything different about them, apart from the corona colour. Has anyone else ever run into this?

Have a look at the duty_selection.xml file in the Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data folder. There are sections for the agency peds, vehicles and vehicle descriptions. Custom agency won't show up in Police Locker
Make sure you add the custom agency to the duty_selection xml file. I think it has to be the script name.

Maybe the scale factor in the carcols file is causing this?

MODS Folder
Hi just a quick question. When creating the Mods folder, do I need to copy over ALL the DLC packs from the Update\x64\dlcpacks folder, or just the ones I plan to edit? I reinstalled GTA and LSPDFR after the last update, and it would save a ton of space if I don't have to duplicate all those files. thanks!

Invisible Vehicle Parts
So I've added this awesome retro fire truck to my game, and I've run into a really strange problem with it. It's as though there's an invisible component right at the center point that's dragging on the road. Sometimes you get sparks and other times you get completely hung up. I've looked at the model in OpenIV and for the life of my I can't see anything that might be causing this. Has anyone ever run into this type of thing before?

Multiple Light Bars Spawing
Hi folks, I've got a few excellent retro models installed as add-ons. They all have a couple light bars setup as extras, and for some reason, they seem to be spawning with both, one superimposed over the other. Obviously this is super annoying. I've looked a numerous posts about how to specify which extras spawn, such as the FLAG_EXTRAS_REQUIRE flag plus the <extraIncludes> and <requiredExtras> tags in the vehicle.meta file, and it seems like those entries are being ignored. I've got each entry set for a single extra, but I'm still seeing some of the models driving around with both light bars 😫. I've also tried using the Vehicle extra_1="true" extra_3="false" tags within Ultimate Backup, but that doesn't seems to work either. Naturally I have another set of vehicles and those entries work as expected 🙄. At the moment I've removed all the extra tags from UB and am just running with the entries in the meta file, but nothing seems to make a difference. Even when I spawn them from the F4 console they can have both light bars... What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can offer, Mike

Environmental Lighting
Hi there, I'm new to vehicle modding and have a quick question about the environmental lighting. Is that something that needs to be defined in the model itself, or is it strictly done through the carcols (non els car), or a combination. I've installed a couple retro cars and all the lighting works, but there is nothing reflecting off of buildings etc... Thanks!

Steam GTA V Version
Hi, I'm completely new to LSPDFR (apart from the awesome Youtube videos out there) and I want to get started playing. For GTA V, I've noticed that there are a few versions available on Steam: Standard GTA V for $30 https://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/Grand_Theft_Auto_V/ GTA V Premium Online Edition which is on sale for $16! https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/5699/Grand_Theft_Auto_V_Premium_Online_Edition/ My question is, will the POE version support LSPDFR? As near as I can tell, it includes the standard GTA V and the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack. $16 is a pretty good deal, but since I'm only really interested in playing LSPDFR offline, I don't want to purchase this version if it won't work out of the gate. I guess my confusion lies with, if I understand correctly, LSPDFR will crash GTA online, so if the POE version is somehow tied into needing to be online, it would be incompatible. If on the other hand it does work, $16 is hard to argue with ;) Hopefully that all makes sense. Thanks Mike
