    I had the same issue and it turned out that the Rage Plugin Hook was out of date and auto reverting the to an older version of GTA 5 and Rock Star won't communicate with older versions to get you to update the game. http://ragepluginhook.net/Downloads.aspx is where you can get the latest version for the Rage Launcher.
