  1. When you DL the new launcher, did you check to see which directory it would go into. Mine did an auto install to the C drive, my GTA for LSPDFR is on my D drive..... So I had to reinstall to D drive before it would work. I have two copies of GTA V installed on the same drive, but the clean copy is named GTA VCOPY. That way I can tell the difference between the two. Make sure your LSPDFR GTA V is up to date, if not there will be a mismatch. Do a verify integrity and it should give you the chance to redownload the correct launcher after the game has been updated. Hope this helps.
  2. And all is well with the world again. Thanks Jam, perfect workaround, much appreciated.
  3. Err....... they only make you buy their products if you're soft in the head. I know what false positives are, but I also know what signatures are used for actual trojans which are not a virus.... two totally different things. Anyho, all is well, you may close the topic to save the clutter. Brulzie
  4. Hi Couthlnk4, Many thanks for your full and frank reply. I appreciate the need to generate income and that turning an ad generated software program is a genuine way to do it. I only wish that someone would have pointed that out in the first place. As for 'forcing', well if it's simply the best mod out there (which it is by far), then I'm happy to be forced. It's just better to be upfront about things. I don't want to infect people either, but others posting, 'it's a false positive', wasn't very helpful. Thanks again. Brulzie
  5. So you're all saying 'false positive move on'. That's exactly how these trojans take hold, your ignorance. If it's a 'false positive' prove it with facts rather than, '1.3m download, common sense bruh'. That particular trojan has infected millions of pcs around the world. I have used this site many many times and have always found it to be a place of excellence, not only from the host downloads, but also the community in general.... I have also never had any such 'false positives before', so my questioning of this event is relevant. The last comment of ' you don't have to use the mod', smacks of 'it's my ball, i'm taking it home'. Facts please, not fiction or glib replies ....'bruh' Brulzie 55 y/o gamer since pcs were manufactured for the masses, used abacus before then. Information update: MalSign.Generic is an ad-supported (users may see additional banner, search, pop-up, pop-under, interstitial and in-text link advertisements) cross web browser plugin for Internet Explorer (BHO) and Firefox/Chrome (plugin) and distributed through various monetization platforms during installation. The browser extension includes various features that will modify the default or custom settings of the browser including the home page, search settings and in some cases will modify Internet Explorer’s load time threshold, place a lock file within Firefox to prevent competing software from changing its settings as well as disable the browser’s Content Security Policy in order to allow for cross site scripting of the plugin. So if it is that, why just no say so.
  6. The lspdfr download link on the lspdfr website: A trojan is detected and is categorized as 'severe'. I cannot see anything on the wesbite or in the forums to explain this problem. The only place I could find information was reddit > https://www.reddit.com/r/GTAV_Mods/comments/4517m6/trojan_found_in_lspdfr_download_from_lcpdfrcom_is/ Sorry if this has been resolved, but I can't find any information.
