RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
Hi everyone! Just a heads up I'll be working on an update over the next few days / weeks. I'm thinking of the main focus of the update being focused on an option for some... 'colourful' language responses. As I've tried to keep the current version quite tame in terms of bad language, but some responses might warrant something more colourful. That being said it will be an option. Though I might delay that and just focus on some more generic response variations first. Sorry for the delay in any replies, etc. I had to put any modding on the back burner for a few weeks! Thanks for reading.

I can't say I've noticed anything like that myself. But as you mentioned with it being XML / Text based it will be very unlikely to cause any FPS drops I'd think.

I'm just uploading a new version now. But I'll get something in the 1.4 version about the probation and parole! 😁

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
Thanks! Well I haven't really tried other ones before, I mostly just used the vanilla STP / Compulite. I know there are a few other such mods out already, but I started this out as more of a personal project and figured I'd share it. I'm sure other mods are more content filled than mine but I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes or make it a competition. I'll just keep adding things to make it more fun / immersive and if people like to play with it then that's cool too! I didn't think I'd have 500+ downloads in the first week that's for sure! Just gives me more incentive to work harder on it I suppose. 😄 Thanks for your support! When I was researching the charges and penalties I found that driving on a suspended license was arrestable with anything from a few days to a few months in jail plus fines. I know different states have different rules, so I might add an optional citation file incase anyone really wants it to be a citation also. It just made more sense roleplay wise to me when I was making it. In the sense that the person had not only had their license stopped due to their previous traffic crimes but now they're ignoring that ruling and driving anyway. Sort of a "The citations obviously aren't stopping you so maybe a night in a cell will" I'll add an optional file in the next release for you. 😉 I was thinking about that when designing the questions but I couldn't figure out a way to implement it into STP. Just that I could put a question of "Are you on parole" but the answers are picked at random. So if they say "Yes I am on parole" when they're not and haven't even been arrested before then it's a bit silly. With a question like "Do you have a warrant?" a criminal won't tell you that they're wanted for arrest. They'll lie about it. And people without a warrant will say no. So I can use that when it comes to making answers. EG - Most answers will be no or things like that. But asking if someone's on parole or probation it would be a yes / no answer. And as it's random it would just seem silly for a random person to say they're on parole when they're not and have never been arrested. If I can figure a way out to implement it though I'll be sure to add it!

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
Thanks I'm glad you like it! Well there is a question of "Do you have a weapon on you at all" which is under the "Speaking about weapons" category. I think I might make one asking if they have a firearm and then one that asks the poke / stick / harm question. Maybe change the order around too as it's at the bottom of the question list. And that would more likely be used than say.... speaking to a gang member / prostitute. But I'm glad you like it so far. I'm still working on it and working on making it more fluid (especially in terms of putting things in order of what might be used more as just mentioned). That and doing more things like investigating which will have different outcomes. EG - Does / does not have a prescription or is / is not law enforcement, etc. I'll get another update out sometime this week! 😁 Hi and thanks for your comments! That's definitely something I'll add for sure. Maybe a "Suspect Questioning" section which will have different sections depending on the crime you're asking about. Such as "Why were you fighting", "Who was the aggressor" and such. And someone might say they were defending themselves while the other person admits they are guilty. So the guilty person goes to jail while you can let the other person go. But very good ideas! I'll be sure to add it, thanks again! 😄

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
I just did a quick update to 1.2 just now. I moved the "Read the person their Miranda Rights" option to the top of "Speaking with an Arrested / Detained Suspect". Sorry about that for anyone who has already downloaded 1.2. it's a minor change but it's now in a more appropriate section. And at the top as you'll likely be using that option often, so it will save you having to scroll down the list.

Hey thanks for the comment! I'm glad you like it so far and I'm also glad to see you've read the manuals too. I'm going to improve them in the week I think. I actually forgot to put them in the folder with the most recent release! Whoops... That's actually a very good point with the stolen vehicle. That's something I've overlooked. I'll be sure to add some questions along those lines for the next release! As for the testing positive for drugs with the baggie - The traces of the drug in the baggie. I believe that even a trace amount of a drug can still amount to a possession charge. I'll look into it some more but here is a quote from a website that mentions trace amounts of drugs = "Two out of three drug offenders arrested by state and local law enforcement possess or sell a gram or less at the time of arrest. Furthermore, about 40% of arrests for hard drug are for trace amounts – a quarter of a gram or less" and "Finally, this study shows that 71% of drug arrests are not for hard drugs, but for marijuana. The majority of those arrests are also for tiny quantities: 28% for trace amounts and almost 50% for a gram or less." But if the person was walking around and high on drugs I'd suggest a "Public Intoxication" citation and if they're not in a fit state perhaps see about getting them a taxi home. If they refuse then I believe legally they can just walk away. I was actually watching a Youtube video just before of a traffic stop. And they were both high on something. One person was arrested for possession of what was found in the vehicle and the other person was told to walk home... even though he was obviously high himself. I might include some 'scenarios' in the manual files. Sort of suggestions as to what the player might want to do in certain situations. I don't like telling people how to play or anything. Just it might be interesting to read and might help someone decide on how to play out a situation. Thanks again for the comment and I'm glad you're liking the mod so far! 😁

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
I used to use the warrant charge myself quite often until it became apparent that it wasn't really making much sense. I'm planning to make a few versions so that people can customize things. Such as a gender based pack. Where if you play as a guy then you'll be called sir along with officer. And ma'am for the other. Plus one where you'll be referred to as deputy instead of officer, and so on. So I might make a version with a 'warrant' charge that doesn't give a sentence if people really want one. But I think it's much more realistic and immersive if you can actually see what the suspect received for their warrant rather than... "oh he got ten months for that eluding charge when he ran from you. But we can't tell you what he got for that felony warrant he was wanted for". Anyway I'm glad you're enjoying it bud! I'll have a new update out in the next few days. I've been researching some things and I'm currently working on "Field Sobriety Consent" at the moment... here's a sneak peak! (Work in progress so it might change quite a bit) 😁

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
Hey bud. Yeah having another mod that changes the CompuLite charges won't work with this one as they use the same files. I've just put in the original post up top where to install the files. The mod is designed to work with each STP / CompuLite file as opposed to just focusing on one thing like a charge list. Example being the drug items are designed to work with the narcotics charges. So they'll use the files of charges, citations, questions and items, etc. Which will conflict with other mods using those.

RP-X = Roleplay Expanded (StopThePed and CompuLite Modification)
Hey bud. I added a note about warrants in the description above as someone messaged me asking the same thing. The warrant charge that's in the vanilla CompuLite doesn't make much sense. Basically if someone's got a warrant for Shoplifting then just add that to their charges when you arrest them. It doesn't mean they've shoplifted twice. Just the court system will show that charge when they've been to court. As if you choose the vanilla "Warrant for Arrest" charge the person would say... get one to five years. Which is firstly a bit random and secondly if you arrest someone with a warrant for petty theft they could get five years, and someone with a warrant for aggravated kidnapping would get one year. Hope that explained it a bit! 😁

Cool stuff bud! Good arrest. 😎 I'm going to do another look at the sentences and fines at some point. I spent quite a bit of time researching the various charges but some sentences might be a bit too lenient or strict.

Thanks bud! I'm glad you're liking it! 😁 Those are some great ideas. I've just done an update now so I'll make sure to get those you've mentioned in for the next one. The one's I haven't just done in the 1.1 update that is. Thanks again! 😄

I was trying quite a few things to get the color to work, I didn't think it was possible at first. But it was really helpful in being able to do what I wanted when I eventually figured it out! And thanks I'd appreciate it! I'm already working on the first update. 😄

What is Roleplay Expanded (RP-X)? Roleplay Expanded is a project for LSPDFR that uses Bejoljo's 'StopThePed' and 'CompuLite' mods. It is a mix of questions, charges, citations and items that all come together to create a new immersive role play experience for LSPDFR in the RP-X project! All of these additions are designed to work together in order to make each interaction an interesting and varied experience. What are some features of Roleplay Expanded (RP-X)? Well firstly... color coded charges! See at a glance if you're dealing with a convicted felon by their arrest records! Some crimes can be a misdemeanor or a felony. Documentation manuals are ready and waiting to help you decide what you should charge that suspect with. You're not going to find any items here that will just tell you if they're stolen or not. You'll have to ask questions and figure out if a crime has been committed. Wait... did that suspect just swallow a baggie!? That'll be a charge of tampering with evidence for them. And a ride in an ambulance! The badge looks real, and when confronted about it he says he's actually working in law enforcement. It's time to call up "his agency" and check! Just by simply possessing the badge doesn't mean he's impersonating a cop. You'll have to investigate in order to get to the bottom of this one. The same goes for that expensive watch you just found on that last suspect. Is it really theirs? Questioning them about it might even give you a confession of guilt! Do you have probable cause to search that vehicle? Can you smell narcotics or notice something that makes you suspicious? If not you'll have to ask for the driver's permission. If they don't give you consent, maybe you'll call for a K9 unit to sniff around the vehicle. It may be tempting to search every vehicle, but you need to follow the correct procedure officer! With a newly designed narcotics system, they will come in three 'weight' categories. "Light", "Medium" and "Heavy". If you catch someone with a light amount they'll get a possession charge. But if they also have a bunch of money or empty baggies on them. Then maybe you'll try and push that up to a distribution charge? It's your call. Medium will be distribution. That paper bag filled with baggies and all that cash? It's not going to be a simple possession charge that's for sure! Heavy will be a trafficking charge. Those blocks of powder on the back seat turned out to be a Schedule I narcotic, and they're worth some serious money, and serious time! And they were also coming in from out of state and had DOA/DEA agents arrest them to boot? The prosecutor will be going for a Federal Trafficking charge! Also.... Who is it you're talking to exactly? Are you speaking with a gang member? Someone you've just arrested? A witness? Multiple lines of dialogue to make each encounter unique! What is it that you're speaking about? Are you demanding an explanation from the driver for what you've just found in their vehicle search? Are you making a call to see if that person has a valid prescription for those pills as they claim? Are you asking that DUI suspect why they were driving in the first place? Are you telling someone you're entitled to search their vehicle because of their probation conditions? Are you asking that person why they have a police badge and ID in their vehicle? Are you telling the person to get in your vehicle so that you can take them off the highway? Are you asking a witness if they need you to call them a cab home? Are you asking that driver why they decided it was a good idea to smash through a fence when you were pulling them over? Or are you just telling them to pick a better place next time? All this and much more! This is actively worked on and so will have regular content updates. Feel free to give feedback and suggestions for what you'd like to see in upcoming versions! This is a community orientated project, so your suggestions are more than welcome. Many additions have already been added from the suggestions of other community members. Thank you for reading and have fun! Also a big thank you for all the downloads and comments.- 59 comments
