but on the "monthly trending" page on the home screen it shows it at 2.5/5 stars. same with MDTPro where it shows 3/5 but actually has 4/5 stars currently

Did you happen to make sure you are running on DX11? From the pack page:
"Having texture problems?
Check your graphics setting and make sure your Direct X version is on DX11. Anything lower and it will bug textures."
