  1. I've installed LCPDFR, and then ELS v6 - without changing anything. My game would randomly crash on a WorldEvent in LCPDFR, which I think is unrelated to ELS, but I would have no issues with ELS - apart from the fact that the car is indestructable when lights are on. Doesn't matter much to me, I generally don't crash into things, so I'm not "missing" the damage. I found that the crashes I had were lessened, if I reinstalled LCPDFR a few times over. But if that will help you - I dont know. :) I also tested last night, and it seems both ELS v6 and LCPDFR works just fine in multiplayer - even playing with other players who do not have any of the mods. I could go on duty and use my modded cars. The only issue I believe was an inconsistency between when I had only lights on the ELS mod, and the fellow players then hearing a siren that wasn't enable. I can live with that :) During multiplayer I see many "Unrecoverable Fault" crashes though, but I'm not sure they are happening due to any of the mods, and when playing in freemode alone or with many different players, they don't happen - only with one particular player, which is an issue that has always pussled me about GTAiv - just as the weird issue where some particular players cannot join the same game for no apparent reason. They can join an identical game one at the time, but if one of the two players is there, the other can't join and vice versa. They can join each on their own though. That's right up there amongst the weirdest things ever. :p My PC specs : Core i7 920 (2.66GHz), 6GB DDR3 Trippel channel RAM, nVidia 9800GT. Generally I would say it works well for me - I still get the occassional crash, but as I understand it, almost everyone does, so that's not something I'm too concerned about. :)
  2. I think that is an absolutely brilliant idea! Basically, LCPDFR is great, and easily keeps me entertained, but a dispatch with alot of diversity would be awesome. I've thought of a few missions I will suggest for the next version of LCPDFR, after the feature freeze, however as I understand it, they are working on the AI and core of the mod, rather than various missions and features. I do have alot of ideas for missions, for fire, paramedics and mainly police. Some of my ideas are inspired from other games, i.e. Emergency 4 / 911 First Responders, both vanilla and with various modifications. I also have some experience with PHP and MySQL, but I think I'd rather not commit myself too much, as I wont have alot of sparetime on my hands forever. :p Give me a shout if you'd like to talk about some missions and such. I think your site could be a great addition to LCPDFR gameplay, especially if more players are playing multiplayer. I do think one thing you should make is an auto-refresh script. Alot of people, like myself, have dual monitor setups, and can easily have your page displayed next to the game (which would feel just like the in-car computer), but clicking anything will task-switch. If it autoupdates, that isn't an issue though :)
  3. Last night, I was patrolling at night in some fairly empty streets in an industrial district, when I spot a minivan-cab with no passengers in it. I figured it was sorta strange to drive a cab without passengers in that area of town at that hour - the odds of getting a ride were fairly minimal there. So I pulled over the vehicle, and approached the drivers window, to find a very old looking chineese man. Grey hair and long, grey beard. Fairly strange, me thinks, so I asked him for a license, and he produced a license with a DOB of 1980, making him 30/31. :D Curious, I go to look him up, and it turns out this young/old man has a bit of an issue with the police. 7 citations, and a warrent for his arrest. So I approach his door again after dialing in another police vehicle. And that's when the young/old man guns it down the road. After chasing him for some time, he finally ended up hurling his car at a wall, after which I boxed him in (fortunately without AI interference). So I grab him out of his car, and as it turns out - not only has he found the fountain of youth, but he is also un-arrestable. I can tase him, chase him and shoot him, but not arrest him. So as I was wondering what best to do with him, an AI cop finally sees the action, and decides to run me over. As I'm getting up, the AI cop gets out and shoots my rare finding. =/ Another curious thing is - if you like racing circuits, you can visit the small, industial island under the freeway intersection by the toll booths. I had two chases spawn there, and none of the suspects were able to do anything but drive around the outer road on the island. :D

  5. I see now what you and Break mean. As I read Sam' post first, I understood it as the discussions shouldn't take place at other websites ; i.e. he didn't want to spread bad PR about the mod being bugged from people who might fail to mention that it's an open Beta they are complaining about - which to me sounded like a fair request. I did not think he would mind a debate about the version though - after all, he could draw some experience from reading it. I re-read the announcement now, and I see your point. My apologies, I will refrain from discussing the mod further untill it's allowed.
  6. Break, I clearly stated I wasn't complaining, and the thread subtitle says it's not a support request. Granted - it's not in the right forum section, which I can do nothing about, but in my opinion, there's a difference between sharing ones experience with fellow users, as opposed to requesting support for an unfinished product - the latter of which I wouldn't do. I was personally happy to see this thread, simply because it's nice to find out "is it just me?" - e.g. have I installed something incorrectly - or if there is a common issue, that I can then rest asure that the competent alpha testers have already passed on to developers. I wouldn't be surprised if it's hard to fix though, it seems to happen at very random, sometimes the mod runs for an hour, and you join several pursuits, and in other instances, the first sign of a worldevent causes a seizure with the game. :) And yes, I have read the Beta notice, the Beta thread, the announcement and the disclaimer.
  7. Just for information (not complaining), I have the exact same issue. Game will crash to desktop just after a WorldEvent has spawned, but after putting the white dot on the map. And the game will hang and then CTD after a short duration in a pursuit or randomly in gameplay. Oddly enough, if I don't visit a police station to go on duty, but rather load the game, ALT+P, ALT+F12 and then force world event, then it doesn't crash, and the suspect drives around (alone) for ages. But the mod ceases to work entirely (no mod-keys respond). I also got the error message Error in Script : Csharp.engine.core after doing the above. I uninstalled TrafficFlow mod because I thought the issue was caused because LCPDFR tried to spawn e.g. a Taxi, and the taxi then got deleted by the TrafficFlow mod, but even without it, the problem persists. Probably one game launch in 10 works perfectly though, with the game running for hours, even with world events happening. My specs are 6 GB DDR3 RAM, Intel Core i7 920, nVidia 9800GT. I'm not sure about the CPU-intensiveness, in my opinion my CPU shouldn't have a problem with spawning a few AIs :) I think the mod is awesome, but the police station bit is a bit time consuming (loading several times), especially when the mod crashes alot. I would hope that in the release, you go to the room to go on duty, then [loading], select character and vehicle and then appear outside (which loaded to allow the spawns). A bit less realistic, but alot faster. :) Also it would be awesome to be able to save the game when on duty, and thus be able to resume on duty right away. I tried saving, but when loading I'm off duty :) The mod is amazing though, it's so much like the real thing :)
