    We all know the classic Whelen Ion, a fan favorite light that can be used pretty freely across any build. From grill and license plate lights to ruse of running-boards and spoilers, the Ion is by far one of the most versatile lights out there. However, something that has always annoyed me is the fact that nobody has made a high-quality LINEAR series (being the model that can not only do dual-color, but also tri-color, and not as a split LED), let alone for free... Well, I've spent the better part of the past couple days making one, and now I'm sharing it with all of you. While this model is by no means perfect yet, it is more than adequate for any builds you may decide to use it on. Does this mean I am stopping here? No, I will continuously be updating this model with minor tweaks until it resembles the IRL counterpart as closely as possible. So, with that, I present to you my Whelen ION TRIOTM Series Linear-LED Universal Light. I hope you all enjoy. Credits found in download. This model currently consists of unique emissive for all 3 colors, i.e. each color's focal points are different from one another, since they are controlled from different diodes, replicating how the real light works. Currently, only Red/White/Blue are included/supported (unless you go edit and change the colors in the texture file). But anyways, I'm done with my rambling, I hope you all enjoy. Please let me know what you think and if you find any issues. This model has been scaled and positioned to seamlessly mesh with CEO's ION.

    Ouch, it's been a while. I have had to take a massive hiatus for a variety of reasons, and am now getting back into the flow of making models. I have a very early preview of what you can expect to be rolling out in the future, but again this is still an early beta. I hope you all enjoy the pics and I am super excited to hopefully release them soon.

    Here we are again with a new light. The Whelen Ion and its Swivel Mount Bracket. This is a very common bracket, but it seems to be impossible to find for GTA, so I made one. Feel free to use this for your own projects and releases, just put my name in the credits and adhere to the terms and conditions in the included ReadMe document. Have fun! And happy modeling!

    Again, sorry for the lack of updates, still trying to iron some stuff out irl and with my files here. New news: I am going to start working on the new, upcoming 2021 NYSP Dodge Durango that they just ordered for Troop G, and will be releasing it shortly after the final manufacturer specs are sent out for production, to match the vehicle as best as possible

    Yeah sure Most sirens that I have seen are around 750 to 1000 though, but I will make a lower poly one

    No not yet, I just made it at 4 in the morning lol I wanted to get it on here and verified before I make the more visually pleasing changes, but it will have that in a few days I also need to fix one of the button. I completely missed that it wasn’t rounded as is the other one until I uploaded it

    I made this variant of the Whelen CenCom Cotroller for use in my NYSP pack, as this is the siren system they use. Thought I would release it here too, enjoy! 838 Poly Illuminated version coming soon, just have to make time to do it.

    Yeah that’s my bad, I will be updating the whole pack soon with new models. I will make a genuine add on pack available upon its release, but I decided not to because the pack is still in very early testing

    Should use be trunk and bonnet. I will be changing it to be through a keybinding soon, just a temporary way to do it Try running the game vanilla and letting it play for a while, just a good practice. Then make sure you have a modified dinput8.dll, a trainer, modified gameconfig for the most recent update of the game, and you can also add a heap adjuster and the other files suggested in the gameconfig download. All of these can be found on gta5-mods.com or any other modding website If you need help feel free to message me and I'll try my best to help you out should be trunk and hood. It will be changed to keys soon

    No kidding, I was up at SUNY Buffalo when I started this pack. Apparently you are the only person who knows this, I've spent countless hours looking for this but wasn't able to find anything, I will definitely try this

    2020's would be sick, I'll definitely look into it. 2016's should be coming soon, I had to restart that project though because the base model I was using wasn't compatible with reflective textures because it was made in a really weird way Definitely an issue with everyone. I mirrored the dummy when editing something else, so I just have to go back and fix that. I will have to remake 2 or 3 cars because I decided I wouldn't need to save them but it's whatever, karma I guess. I appreciate everyone's patience with this project, I've been really busy with work and working on my car, but I'll try to set some more time for this project. I love making these models, and I want to get more into it.

    Yeah I'm aware, just wanted to post it since I just finished the model. I'm working on making a better texture and emissive as I'm typing this. It also doesn't really need that much detail anyways since it is a relatively small light. I made it for my own use but thought I'd share it anyways

    Yeah it’s something I will be working on. I have to change some settings with the car. The way GTA works with normal lights is stupid though. The state police irl don’t have daytime running lights enabled on their cars, and at night the running lights turn on, but they alternate with the flash pattern. I need to make it so this happens, and I think I have figured it out, I just have to check. But anyways, the actual headlights/taillights of the car and the rear running light (the large LED the encompasses the whole rear end of the car) were not modeled by the person who converted the car, as it really take so much work to do that. I’m going to try to do this though, I just need everyone to be patient with me as I work on it and all of my other projects for this pack. For now, it will have to stay as it is, but once I get some other cars (Fords) done, I might go back to it. It’s good enough for the W.I.P stage, but it will be fixed before the V1.0 release. The videos are also very outdated, those models were prototypes that I have worked on and switched things on like 10 times by now.

    Yeah I agree. My district has red and blue in the front, but a lot of the neighboring districts, along with county PD, are all red in the front

    No, you can change the name of the vehicles to replace the existing police cars in game, but it’s just easier to release the pack with the models in an add on name since it can be used as an add on pack. Just change the names of the vehicle models and the ELS file (totaling 4 files) and drag the 3 vehicle files into the most recent update folders vehicles.rpf, and the ELS in pack_default in ELS. More details in the installation file included

    I’ve had a bunch of people PM me regarding this, I have no idea what happened but the website messed something up in the files. If you join the discord, you can find the same file under the development section, which for some reason isn’t corrupted. https://discord.gg/7GfG4y The pack is based off of the NYSP, so i’m using what they use in reason life. If I have time after finishing the pack, I could go through and switch out the lights, but I’d have to change a lot of the parts, so it will have to wait https://discord.gg/7GfG4y Download is in the development folder, the website messed up the updated folder

    The Hi-Riser is currently in the works!!! I’ve had a couple of people message me regarding them and I’m happy to announce that they are almost done. I decided that it wouldn’t be the worst idea trying to stay up for 13-14 hours to get them working, and well, I did that, and I’m regretting it now. I’ll get back to it once I get off from work, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll have them up by the end of the day US EST. But yeah just a little sneak peak into the future, not going to show any photos though, don’t want anyone getting too much info on them lol
