Useful against the demonstration feature mentioned a few posts above me. And that sometimes when you enter the data in the police computer, it can't find the name. Simulating false licenses or illegal immigrants.

You could also try downloading the diagnostics tool and run that. It may help finding errors which could cause your trouble.

Well, I never watched a police movie, but sometimes I watch police series. In Dutch it's called: de politie op je hielen. Which is translated as: the police on your tail. It follows British units during their duty, so all events are real. And when I was younger I liked to watch police academy. Unfortunately that isn't on TV anymore, but probably still somewere available.

Well, these are exactly the symptoms that I'm experiencing. So all there is to do is either shut down AI lights or live with the spam. Hopefully ELS v7 (if ever released) will fix both of these problems.

Well, the problem is that ELS v5 fixes the crashing, but leaves the town deserted with abandoned EMS vehicles scattered around. In fact (and I should have clearly asked that) I want to know how to get rid of that bug.

Hello folks, I'm playing LCPDFR using carmods with ELS but I'm having some issues with that. I started with ELS v6 and if there are too many other vehicles with ELS on, the game will crash with SMPA60. All traffic disappears normally and the mod just does it's job but the game crashes when it has to handle alot of ELS cars.Turning of AI lights fixes the crashing, but I don't like it since all my EMS vehicles are ELS enabled. So I switched to ELS v5 but fixing one problem it creates another one. The game works fine without SMPA60 crashes even with AI lights on. However, spawned cars like backup and prisoner transport don't disappear from the game. Also the dispatched emergency services created by the trafficflow script don't disappear. This results in a deserted town with scattered abandoned EMS vehicles around the city but no regular traffic. It has nothing to do with LCPDFR since switching back to ELS v6 without AI lights fixes this problem. I'm hoping that somebody here can give me a clue of what to do.

Just reload your savegame. It's all you can do to fix it. If the problem persists then I would advice a re-install of LCPDFR.

It is the main engine that crashes, it cripples the whole mod and nearly all functions are disabled. Nothing else to do but to reload your savegame as reloadscripts will reload the mod but you keep the police officer model corrupting your savegame if you save with that model.

I don't think it's necessary. The beta is currently working fine. You are probably using the beta public which hasn't been updated since it's release. The devs and testers are using a different system now which can give us fixes pretty quickly. So you can try to fix the problem in the code (I'm not giving permission BTW) but it probably has been fixed already. It just isn't being released to the public and if everything goes fine, it won't happen till the finish of 0.95.

Just call for an ambulance. In real life the police isn't there for reviving but they can give CPR until medical personnel arrives with equipment that they can use.

Maybe you have to reinstall your LCPDFR to update advancedhook.dll. It seems like IV has trouble with it. Do this if you have 0.91. If you have 0.95 then [betasupport]

Maybe you can try running the game as administrator?

You could try it by making a flatbed appear, the screen turns black and afterwards the screen turns normal and the car + flatbed are gone (imagining that the car is towed away).

I don't know if it's possible but maybe you can change F8 into another key to see if that helps.

I think this is a major misunderstanding. I do know what the difference is between the F and numpad keys. Im gaming everyday. Anyways it appeared that with my stupid head I forgot the numlock. It works again. :sweat:

Wether they are function keys or not, they don't work. I noticed the problem since I installed the first person mod. I don't know if that mod conflicts with LCPDFR but it might be useful additional info.
