I Started to work on a mod that lets you open the trunk by standing close to the trunk from outside the car i have one problem i can't find how to target a car

Is it good idea if i will try to make a mod that you can go to your police car trunk press e and that will open the trunk and you can to press G or any other key to get your gear out of there like armor guns and more? And maybe version with animation of opening trunk if it's possible
